Look, I know.
I know how incredibly creepy and awful it is to wish your brother's grave was still stuck in your backyard, especially when it turns out that he isn't dead after all and sleeps just down the hallway. And that's great, that's amazing, I'm thrilled that he's alive but...
But I can't talk to alive Ollie like I could talk to dead Ollie.
And don't say that I can still talk to dad's headstone. It isn't the same.

He's not the same as he was before. You shouldn't feel bad, Thea.

[Plus that awkward make-out session oops.]

No details needed, thanks.

I should watch my phrasing when it comes to Ollie.

Well at least he's telling someone.

But I can't really speak for Ollie. I just gathered all of this from the conversations we've had.

[Well she probably could, but her lawerly powers only go so far.]
But why would he interfere with your life, if he's not worried about you?
no subject
Maybe he thinks he's got to take over for dad. I don't know.
no subject
Even if he's being a butthead about it.

['There was something I wanted more.' Surely it wasn't just Laurel. Was it?]

[ Not that the family dynamic needs to be any weirder, but still. Life is so unfair sometimes. ]

But enough about that asshole. Sounds like you're having a rough time.

My brother came back from the dead, with a lameass arrowhead souvenir and a bunch of lectures on how to behave, what do I have to complain about? [Okay, so it's not lameass and she keeps it in her pocket but no one else needs to know that. And she could definitely do without the lectures.]
no subject
If it's any consolation, I think it's justified to complain. If you're unhappy about it, you got the right to say so. It's when you try to keep it all to yourself that you can get into trouble.

Besides. There's other ways to make the world seem a little less shitty and a little more shiny.
no subject
I can think of a few other ways myself, but I can't say I'd recommend any of them.
Listen, I know what it's like to be alone. I know how bad it hurts. He's hurt me, maybe worse than anyone else. But, it's better to see the world for what it really is. Sometimes the world genuinely sucks, sometimes it's overwhelmingly terrible and there doesn't seem to be a way out or anybody who'll listen to you. But there is and there are, trust me on this one. What you have to do is just put one foot in front of the other and change your situation.
no subject
But you're right. Carpe diem and all that bullshit. The world sucks, you might as well make the best of it.

[He's so down with the street terms, yo.]
I won't lecture you. That's the last thing you need and we don't even know each other, so what right do I have to tell you what to do, right? No one can live your life but you. You can't change things unless you want to.

Now if you don't mind, I've got a bottle of pure happiness and sunshine that needs drinking.
no subject
Right. You know best. Just don't let the hard living get to you.

But I already said I wouldn't preach. That's what Ollie's for.
