Look, I know.

I know how incredibly creepy and awful it is to wish your brother's grave was still stuck in your backyard, especially when it turns out that he isn't dead after all and sleeps just down the hallway.  And that's great, that's amazing, I'm thrilled that he's alive but...

But I can't talk to alive Ollie like I could talk to dead Ollie. 

And don't say that I can still talk to dad's headstone.  It isn't the same.

Besides. There's other ways to make the world seem a little less shitty and a little more shiny.

I can think of a few other ways myself, but I can't say I'd recommend any of them.

Listen, I know what it's like to be alone. I know how bad it hurts. He's hurt me, maybe worse than anyone else. But, it's better to see the world for what it really is. Sometimes the world genuinely sucks, sometimes it's overwhelmingly terrible and there doesn't seem to be a way out or anybody who'll listen to you. But there is and there are, trust me on this one. What you have to do is just put one foot in front of the other and change your situation.

Unless you know of a way to erase the past five years, there's no changing the situation.

But you're right. Carpe diem and all that bullshit. The world sucks, you might as well make the best of it.

I won't lecture you. That's the last thing you need and we don't even know each other, so what right do I have to tell you what to do, right? No one can live your life but you. You can't change things unless you want to.
