I appreciate the break from Arthur. No, really, pompous man like himself could use a moment of solitude to deflate the ego... But, and yes, there is always a 'but' mundane, you know the man's helpless without me. If he isn't ordering me to shine his armor, muck out his stalls, and clean his room -- both of them dangerously similar, thank you -- he's off pummeling things with a sword!

Things that pummel back.

I know he's... reluctant to express matters of appreciation. Of the heart even-- He's rather dense in fact, but he's not bad. So, figure out what you are planning on doing soon so my break is not a long one.

Oh I wouldn't do that. I'd pay to see it but I cannot suggest it. He's very sensitive.

In the wrong ways. Like, can you believe how I can't tease him about the number of women he's bedded?

But I'm not nearly as sensitive. Maybe if I jiggle his belly, he'll squawk like one of those dolls?

[Merlin makes a sour face at that. It's like seeing your parents have sex, and it's in his head. He shudders and recovers, determined to right that wrong right away.]

Nobody beside myself is allowed in his chambers. S'not that I take advantage of the arrangement but I am quite sure he's not. Doing. That.

[Snorting] I think he'd have you locked in the stocks. For a week.

That's what I mean when I say he has boring hobbies. You mean that's all your fault? Come on, stop being so possessive. Or do you not trust him enough to continue being his friend even when he has a wife and lovers?
