this is not the time to take me away from the world that is my home. You may do so after the battle is won or lost, for better or worse. This friend of yours taking Will out of there only enlarges the predicament in which the Light will find itself.

For the good of our world, reconsider.

I would be more comfortable, myself, if I knew how this place would affect magic. Still, if we have been brought to this place at such a time, it might be that this too is part of the Light's plan.

We've seen both extremes, and we're still here, so there shouldn't be much to worry about. At least my mundane's hope for Jane and her brothers to join us are a thing of little likeliness.

I can't say that I could ever see them joining us. And there is some hope in that for our world.

I think I will be doing some worrying all the same.

[There is a strange indicisiveness in his words, a feeling of being caught between two worlds - he isn't attacking or even questioning Will's interpretation, but he still feels the other interpretation, the one that puts the one over the many. There are times for all things, but with being taken out of their native context like this, there is no guide anymore.]

In the end, it may well be the same thing.
