[He thinks he hears something and turns to see the ghostly glow of a pumpkin-headed phantom running toward him. That might not be a cause for alarm, save for the fact he's wielding a giant axe.

And he's a ghost of some sort. Also, he's got an axe. Did he mention the axe yet?

Cue Sniper tearing up the hill and across the rock bridge that crosses over the mountain path.]

[Meanwhile, the Horsemann continues to gleefully charge towards the Australian, an evil cackle echoing throughout the map area. The booming sound of his footsteps continues to increase in volume as he picks up speed. It's pretty obvious that this ghost isn't screwing around, he's out for your head...and even your horse, the fiend!

...if you don't have one, he'll settle for your head. I guess.]

[Piss piss piss. Sniper turns back as the Horsemann and fires unscoped, aiming not for his pursuer, but one of the pumpkins loaded with TNT at his feet- he's hoping to blow him off the bridge to give him long enough to run into the house.]

[OW, DAMMIT! ET TU PUMPKE?

Congratulations Sniper, your shot worked like a charm, with the explosion causing him to fall off the bridge. However, he lands on his feet successfully, a look of anger cemented on his face despite the fact he only has one expression.

You may have slowed him down a peg, but you haven't stopped him. He's still coming for you.]

[Good shot, job well done, fine work mate, etc.

No time for congratulations as he catches sight of that angry look. He hot-foots it toward the manor, hoping to use the long corridors to hide. Where is the rest of his team (or any BLUs, for that matter) when he needs them?]

[Once the Horsemann makes it to the mansion, he slows down. He looks left, nothing. He looks right, still nothing. A low growl is the only sound the ghastly beast makes as he raises his axe, and begins thundering down the hallway to the control point. He'll search the whole damn manor if it means heads will roll.]

[Sniper hears the footsteps coming and dashes into the library, hiding behind a bookshelf. He grabs his knife for protection, though he's not sure what good it'll do against an axe-wielding ghost.

Carefully moving one of the books on the shelf aside, he peers through the gap to the other side, watching the doorway to the control point.]

[Thankfully, the Horsemann takes the other path, the one up the stairs. Because really, ew books.

He'll be going back shortly, though.]

[So far, so good. Watching the Horsemann go back the other way, Sniper takes his chance to move, going out the side hallway. Maybe if he can get to his truck outside, he can escape this nightmare.

Unfortunately, Mann Manor is a big place, and Sniper's sense of direction inside buildings is pretty poor. He ends up in the den, the light from the fireplace making his shadow stretch all the way to the far wall. He turns sharply, startled by it- it seems that the Horsemann has got his nerves all worked up.]

[Thump.

Hey Sniper, did you hear that?

Thump. Thump.

It seems to be getting closer.

THUMP! THUMP! THUMP!

It's as if whatever's causing the sound in extremely close b-

Oh.

He's at the doorway, cackling like a madman. Surprise.

[He hears the thumps, sees the source of them, and is pretty sure he's going to die at some point. That doesn't mean he's giving up so soon.

Back he goes down the hall and through the library, leaping across the chasm in the floor to the control point in the next room, trying to think the entire time. What can he do against a ghost?]

[UGGG, ALWAYS WITH THE JUMPING.

Since the Horsemann cannot jump, he's forced to go around the pit, giving Sniper some precious time to GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE!]

[If you happen to understand the Horsemann's weird language of grunts and laughs, it may sound something like

"HOW ABOUT YOU AND YOUR DRESS GO TURN INTO A PALM TREE YA BIG WUSS"

Or maybe he's just grunting and laughing angrily. It's really hard to tell.]

[Thankfully, his spooky supernatural powers include understanding what the Horsemann's saying. Sort of. Some bits are lost in translation.] It's not a DRESS! WHY does EVERYBODY think that?

The Horsemann look a bit confused. This kid certainly didn't look like any of the people he chased around this time of year. Still, an intruder is an intruder.

So have 1 rather large axe-wielding pumpkin-headed monster heading your way.]

[As soon as Ryoji spots that monster, he lets out the manliest scream in his possession.

Still, the Horsemann's a persistent one. He's just going to raise his axe above his head and proceed to slam it down onto the THANATOS' head.]

[HORSEMANN used Quick Attack. It wasn't very effective...

Yes, being a god of death means that once the ax hits Ryoji/Thanatos, it just repels off of him, leaving no dent in the monster's skull. The only thing the ax seemed to accomplish was making Thanatos angry, as it screeches again and readies its sword.]

[Running running running, where is his team? Why doesn't he have anyone to heal?]

[Why are you in the Manor? Why is the Horsemann chasing after Medic? Why are there so many questions with no good answers?]

[Why is there a giant skeletal being with a pumpkin for a head? Why is Medic squealing like a little girl? Why were his crossbows totally ineffectual? Sadly, these too were all questions that didn't have answers.

But hiding is a viable option right? RIGHT? Because that's what he's doing.]

Horsemann loves a good chase. So yeah, he's just gonna stomp around the manor.]

[Seeing as how those giant footsteps are rattling the floorboards and chandeliers Medic lets out the most manly shriek imaginable and darts from his hiding place to run up the stairs towards the attic.]
