Oh, I do not know, I think I actually would enjoy the sort of trouble you might cause me as a Captain, Leftenant.

Beyond that, they can keep their ideas to themselves and I will be quite happy with the result.

I do keep hearing I look good in a naval uniform. But you recall that I'm not nearly as much of a troublemaker when I don't have the Puck identity to uphold, I hope?

I'd not mind a few ideas, actually. Would give me something to do.

I think perhaps that grand old adventure we were contemplating might include a sail or two in our future. I could chance the risk of the water if it were to have a row or two at your side.

Though preferably not of the kind that requires oars. I am not fond of row boats.

Trust me, it was never my idea. I am sure you are a lovely young lady, but I've no interest in being a father. Not right now or likes this, and not at the momentary whim of some flippant offhanded comment.

That seems to be how they think up all of these things. I meant no offence to you or the other gentleman, of course. But I loved my father very much and just because they have seen nothing of him and thus do not care, I can assure you I do not feel the same.

None taken. I am sure he was a very good father. I would never look to try and step in the middle of that, voluntarily.

I have a feeling the matter has been quickly dropped, however.

In any case it seems a cruel fate to wish upon someone, being my father. He is, after all, dead.
