EVOs have active, microscopic machines in their bodies that cause changes. Like mutations.

[Holding his right arm out to the side, he builds out the BFS.]

My control is more fine tuned than most EVOs, plus I grow metal out of my body. That's kind of unusual even by EVO standards.

[And he builds the BFS down again, the giant sword vanishing.]

[After a moment's debate with himself, he pulls his wand back. To tell or not... This guy doesn't seem hostile. Powerful, yes, but not exactly hostile.]

[And he's learned long ago that the whole secrecy of the Wizarding World thing really doesn't matter here in the least. It's not like he found a lot of other wizards or witches anyway.]

[Rex arches a brow, looking at the stick again.]

A wand? What, like...a magic wand?

[Not really scoffing, no. At this point, Rex knows better than to take magic as some kind of joke or fairy tail ability. More like he just didn't expect the kid to have one.]
