SOBBING - latest episode

Oh, you're crying again. Well don't. It was a great story. It was a real story. Not everything turns out the way you want, but I got my ending. I got the boy, and I had plenty of adventures. I don't regret anything.

I don't think the Doctor does either. Endings happen. Even he knows that.

Besides if he's here then you're already rewriting time. And you have me on the island. I've got loads more things to do. And you know it. So wipe your eyes and come on, then.

You know'im then? [She grins a bit. Not the first Scot.]

Then I'm glad he had the letter.

You should be. [ Aww yes, the feeling of feeling like he's right a lot. ] And yes, I travel with him. I'm Adric. We've also got Tegan and Nyssa. [ Tsk. ] Or did, I suppose. It must have been a long time ago now.

I'm Amy. [She smiles with a nod.] Yeah, flow of time works even more-- wobbly here.

'Wobbly'? [ The eyebrows are going, going... up. Gurl what sort of way of putting it is that even. ~~And why is Adric such a dick no one knows~~ ]

Wibbly wobbly, timey wimey. You know, Doctor speak for how time works.

[ Oh.

So the Doctor at some point becomes even worse at it than he is already. He will forever have to be asked what he's even talking about. Wow if that isn't irritating. ] But that doesn't explain anything about how it works.

I don't know how it works. It's just one of those things he says. He says it, you trust him, because you're not going tk get a better explanation.

Maybe not easily. Sometimes I expect that if he had it his way, no one would ever make him explain himself. You've just got to keep asking until he remembers you're there. [ Those are just the facts. ] Or learn to use the TARDIS computer.

He doesn't let anyone touch it. Except River, but she can pilot the TARDIS better than he can. D'you know that it isn't supposed to make that noise? He leaves the brakes on.

[ So incredulous. Sure, some woman piloting the TARDIS with better technical skill than the Doctor, that just happens. Romana managed no problem. Nopenopenope, shaking his head. ] You must be mistaken; the Doctor wouldn't fly it if he hadn't researched how to pilot it properly.

[ Except his face is saying

"yes he would Adric"

that is exactly the sort of thing he would do, and he does it all the time.

UGH HE IS THE WORST DRIVER'S ED TEACHER. ]

[She laughs at that. Because listen to yourself.]

You are funny.

[ wow what a rude woman. BI ]

I am not. It's only sensible to expect him to know what he's doing.

Or at least it used to be. [ Now Adric mostly expects him to wear celery and use super-effective sarcasm. Time Lords change things around far too often for his tastes. ]

Well he's pretty much the most unsensible person I know. [She giggles again. Adric, you expect too much.]

It's certainly no wonder why he brought you on. [ Tut tut tut. ]

Me? You say that like it's a bad thing. And he brought me on because he told me he would when I was seven.

I'm only saying it makes sense. [ Sounding all put upon like wow Amy why are you so dramatic, sheesh. ] I'm sure he's glad to have someone along that he actually asked.

He didn't ask you?

I just stowed away before he left my home planet. [ And a tad defensively because he's him: ] But he didn't ask me to leave, either.

The Doctor would never ask a companion to leave.

Anyone can ask anyone to leave.

The Doctor needs a companion.

Being alone doesn't suit him, whatever he looks like. It would get terribly boring.

He gets a little broody, too. Jaded. It's not good.

Does he really? [ Learning new things erry day. ] I've never met him traveling without someone.

[ Kind of weird to picture actually. WHO WOULD HE TALK TO. ]

There was a time where he'd go off, let Rory and me live our regular lives. Made him a little bitter sometimes-- [Mercy wasn't the greatest time, despite being all mid-western-y.]
