whatisreality: (Lewicki - TO THE BATMOBILE by me)

Apparently, professors take a dim view of procrastination and late hours - who knew?

You worked some on my app. Would you like a prize for that meager amount of writing? What did I say about excuses or extensions? No, you spent your weekend working on some fanvid instead of writing that app. Do you really consider that a wise use of time? I mean, sure, writing an application for a fictional character in a roleplaying game isn't exactly going to put money in the bank but at least it involves writing and researching. I can appreciate that. This, this 'fanvidding' of yours, though? Repeatedly blasting the same song in you ears for hours on end so you can match up clips is just ridiculous. Get me into a game and then you can do whatever you want with your free time.

Speaking of free time - free time is not considered 5am. Go. To. BED. And don't even start with me on what I did as a college student. I'm not one anymore and neither are you. Sleep. NOW.

Take 2. This time hopefully without the life-induced-dropping...

These fangirls are not exactly know for their ability to focus their attention on one thing at a time. They're too excited. Like children. It'd be cute if it weren't so...[She makes a face] Well, not cute. After age five, it's just obsessive.
yourflyisunzipped: (Default)

Huzzah.

[personal profile] yourflyisunzipped 2012-09-25 07:53 pm (UTC)(link)
[Oh, Donna is quite familiar with arrogant men and she arches an amused brow at 'and' instead of 'or' regarding his students. Giving her copper locks an exaggerated toss, she gives a 'well of course' laugh and leans forward, confidant style.]

Who doesn't love a bit of fawning? It's good for the ego and the skin. But I know what you mean. Being put up on that pedestal...

[She sighs. Such a burden to bear.

After a beat she drops the dramatics, getting serious.]

Honestly? I think there are worse reasons to be the object of someone's obsession. Looks, talent, being generally awesome are all pretty typical, but it seems that your mun thinks you stand for something important. A puppet could do a lot worse.
yourflyisunzipped: (pic#4839448)

Well, Donna likes to think she causes fireworks wherever she goes, so... =P

[personal profile] yourflyisunzipped 2012-09-26 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
Haven't you?

[She manages to look genuinely surprised, as if everyone should know these things. Then she shrugs, the smallest of smirks betraying her charade of innocence.

It transforms into a knowing smile as he explains more about his mun.]

Ah, a lawyer on a mission. Now, that is something I am more than a little familiar with, so just be glad that your mun is tolerable, because you're probably stuck with her.

[She gives him a brief look that says she knows what she's talking about then waves a dismissive hand and grins.] Shallow or honest? Who's to say they're not two sides of the same coin? Besides, trying to label it gets in the way of enjoying the actual fawning.
yourflyisunzipped: (Default)

[personal profile] yourflyisunzipped 2012-09-27 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
And I'm sure she's the first to do that. Of course.

[She smirks, her expression saying 'riiight', a little good-natured sarcasm of her own, but she'll leave it at that. And her mun is well aware that Daniel's Converse and worn t-shirts look is delectably disheveled.]

You, sir, are far more accepting than some of your museling peers, that's for sure. I've got a few headmates that have been knocking around for years and still think there's some way of escape.

[She shrugs, obviously far more accepting of her lot in this whole thing. Then she fixes him with a look that says she doesn't quite believe what she's hearing.Ah, Kate. She fawns in secret. That or she's completely devoid of sight and hormones.]

So you don't enjoy the fawning? Either they're doing it all wrong, or you're not a typical representative of the male half of our species.
yourflyisunzipped: (...Huh)

[personal profile] yourflyisunzipped 2012-09-27 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
[Donna may look just the teensiest bit amused as he rethinks his denial and she chuckles dryly at his pleading the fifth, that particular act bringing up some not so delightful memories for her.]

Uh-huh.

[She doesn't interrupt as he flails, watching him with a carefully selected expression that says she's both patient and amused. He reminds her a bit of the puppy when he's freaking out.]

That sounds familiar. Something about ducks in the title, right? [She ponders that just a moment before going on.] You're right about that not being so terrible. There are worse places. Mine had me reserved somewhere but she got a timely cold that made her miss the actual application process. Mores the pity.

[Obviously, she is overwrought with disappointment.]

But seeing as it's pretty clear that this game doesn't exactly make you giddy, you could always try and talk her into somewhere else. Though, again, typically you'd be left with worse places. Horror islands, sex islands, islands that drift...[She pulls a face.] These people really like islands.

[ooc: I was all 'did he jus--he did. Go Daniel, you sly dog, you.' but that's also when I started thinking, 'damn this is all in his head, isn't it?' Still pretty awesome though.]

Aha. If he doesn't want horny co-eds falling into his lap he should be less adorable.

[personal profile] yourflyisunzipped 2012-09-27 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)
[She makes a sympathetic face.]

I can see that being discombobulating but not having to leave home is a big plus. I imagine it'd be nice not to have to go through the whole who, what, when, and where deal the second you come to. Because you almost never arrive in these places conscious.

[His reaction is...several things. Kind of funny, kind of endearing. Kind of Catholic school marm. Her lips quirk up on one side.]

Yes, sex islands. Last I heard there were a few, all of them with the same premise: do it or die.

Not exactly my idea of a romantic island getaway.

[ooc: ...Yeah, let's pretend this isn't the 5 millionth time I've edited/posted this, k? K/ So...Yeah. He'll get there one day. And I am going to miss Natalie. The doc is cool and all, but I liked Natalie.]
yourflyisunzipped: (Default)

Fff, I almost tagged him with the wrong journal

[personal profile] yourflyisunzipped 2012-09-29 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
Be glad your mun apparently doesn't have as strong a desire to see you suffer as some do.

[She says this almost sagely, as if she's seen some things in her day, though she's only been around a matter of months and never been in a game. But she's Donna. She knows.

She nods as he repeats her words.]

Pretty much sums it all up. There's a goddess or gods or whatever, and you either make like bunnies within the predetermined time frame or...[She makes a slicing type noise and draws a finger across her own throat but pauses when it's half way across.]

Actually, in the one that comes to mind you're choked, but you get the idea.

[He had more chemistry with Natalie than Caroline, lol. But I'm trying to reserve shipping preferences until season two. No matter how adorable his crush on Kate is.]
yourflyisunzipped: (Default)

Fair, freckled & redheaded to mocha skinned brunette? Might've caused some headscratching.

[personal profile] yourflyisunzipped 2012-09-29 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, then she is like the rest. In that case, your plan sounds like a good one to me. Hopefully, it stays that way.

[She scrunches her nose slightly and nods.] I know, that's what comes to mind every time. With a side of some serious dom/sub preferences, considering none of her captives are there willingly. That Atia chick must be one kinky bitch.

Then again, I guess you'd have to be to run a sex island and call it worship. That or seriously, seriously repressed.

[Maybe the doc'll soften up a bit next season. She was so stiff--character, not actress. I know exactly what you mean about Kate and Daniel. Tragic = interesting. Who wants a ship without quirks?]

[personal profile] yourflyisunzipped 2012-09-29 03:24 pm (UTC)(link)
[Poor Daniel. It'll be okay. Deep breaths.

Donna waits quietly as he works through whatever it is he's working through in his head, trying to decide whether the pause is due to discomfort with the topic or something else entirely.

She goes with it being a mixture of both and figures she can maybe back off the dramatics a little bit.]

Me? No. Never been in any game, actually. [She ignores her mun's insistent declaration of "yet".] But knowing is kind of my thing.

[Me too. I want to like her, because she has Natalie's face but we'll see how that goes. And yes, poor Monk. Forever scared by the death of Trudy. I scared since ep one that Natalie was dead. Glad she wasn't.

Haha. You have now been dubbed Rose in my head. And nah. Takes a good bit to scare me. But I do wonder...Any chance you were a GSR fan back in the day?

[Sigh. Ruin her fun, why don't you?

She nods, holds out her hand as if they haven't just spent the past however many minutes discussing the peculiarities of sex islands.]

I'm Donna. I know everything. Pleasure to meet you.

[Because you'll never let go. Titanic instantly comes to mind. And good, then I'd be scared. The went a bit mad after a while...]

[personal profile] yourflyisunzipped 2012-09-30 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
[A good thing, that, because she probably won't be able to help herself for too long.

She grins at his introduction.]

Well, that's okay. If we both knew everything, it'd be a pretty boring conversation.

[Heh, yeah, let's hope not. That'd be unpleasant for all parties involved.

You are a smart woman. It was my first tv fandom though, so I saw a lot of it first hand. Blood in the water, dude. Blood in the water.]
yourflyisunzipped: (pic#4849896)

Rotf. Oops. Be glad it wasn't a gif? I'm a straight chick and get distracted every time

[personal profile] yourflyisunzipped 2012-09-30 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
It's usually best to get that taken care of early on.

[She nods with a faux somberness that changes into amusement once more as she sees his gaze shift.

He's off in his own head again, and she settles in to see how long the trip will be this time. People watching is a hobby of hers, after all.

The look gains some wryness as she sees what looks to be distaste or some other such emotion cross his face after a beat or two. Both brows lift as she cocks her head to look at him expectantly.]

Not dumb, but definitely distracted. What's on your mind, slick? I'm trying to decide whether or not I should be offended.
yourflyisunzipped: (Considering)

Love that scene. And yet another reason I'm gonna miss Natalie (*if* she gone for good).

[personal profile] yourflyisunzipped 2012-09-30 05:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Boys will be boys. Although why this boy was being a boy in your kitchen does raise a few questions.

[The use of air quotes had gotten a quirk of a grin, and she had let the expectant look fade into a the smile. Explanation accepted.

So, tell me professor--and it is professor, right?--does cleavage usually make you think of your TAs exploits or was this just a one time thing?

[Or not accepted. At this point, she may be attempting to induce flailing intentionally. There's definite mischief in her gaze, though she keeps both words and expression completely casual.]

[I dunno man. All systems were go with madam benefactor and Daniel didn't seem too displeased at the prospect.]

[personal profile] yourflyisunzipped 2012-10-01 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
[Probably not the reaction he was going for as his words cause Donna to have a mental image of living with Harvey. She shudders but recovers quickly.]

That explains his access to your kitchen, but still not why he didn't pick a better place. Like the library. That's what you do in college.

[She gives a nod of recognition at the revelation that he's a doctor but whatever she would have said is cut off as she laughs outright and shakes her head.]

Oh no. You will not be blaming me for ruining breasts for you. That was all your doing, Danny boy.

[You know how writers are. They're a bunch of teases. So it's up to us to decide.]
yourflyisunzipped: (Default)

[personal profile] yourflyisunzipped 2012-10-01 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
[Smirking, she lets out a pitying sigh.]

Poor kid. Should've just chosen the library. It's usually a good idea to stick with the classics.

[Donna is shaking her head before he's even finished talking.]

Yes. Yes, yes, yes, yes. Those were your thoughts that jumped on that train. [she crosses her hands in front of her, similar to a referee calling an out at the plate and and then raises as if backing away from the whole thing.] I had nothing to do with it.

[Heh. Poor Daniel, no nookie for him.]

[personal profile] yourflyisunzipped 2012-10-01 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
Hey, they're classics for a reason.

[It takes a lot to aggravate Donna. Besides she sees men behaving like children every day, just get Harvey and Louis in a room together. So, she merely gives her head yet another shake, ever patient.]

Not a clue, you're right. But I do know it's a good thing you decided to become a doctor instead of a lawyer, because that argument would never hold up in court.

My cleavage and I were sitting here minding our own business. I didn't make you look, I don't control your thoughts, and I don't even known this Lewicki. Three strikes. You're out.

[So now I want to see this happen on screen at least once. I mean, I'd feel bad for him, but...]
yourflyisunzipped: (Default)

[personal profile] yourflyisunzipped 2012-10-01 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
I know that now. I didn't when you were having that unfortunate flashback.

If they can be assigned blame for something, why not?

[She lifts a brow, challenging him to say otherwise. Nevermind she doesn't actually believe it herself.]

[It's a pretty awesome idea. Now, if only you could plant it in one of the writers' heads. That'd be way more effective. And yeah, they're weird. It amuses me that he was flustered when talking about the sex island but her cleavage is fair game.]

[personal profile] yourflyisunzipped 2012-10-01 02:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[Donna smirks. She counts this as a win, just for the record.]

Well, I work as a legal secretary at a firm in New York. But I think most people would agree that what I do is be awesome. It's worked pretty well for me so far.

[Makes sense. Especially since Donna here is a stranger. Still funny though. They just had an 8 tag conversation about her boobs.]
