As if thrusting me into a strange world wherein I am required to perform pointless tasks while Agatha needs me in Mechanicsburg is bad enough.

I might have to seriously rethink the amicable status of our relationship.

No offense, I doubt that every single one of the rest of you has as important a series of events going on as I do at the moment my mundane plans to pull me. I am in the middle of a battle that may very well decide the fate of the whole count--

If it's any consolation, current evidence leads me to believe that while are in the game, events in our native universes are put on hold. Theoretically when we return, we return to the exact point from which we left.

I think my mundane was planning on populating my planet with creatures called mimmoths. They're sort of like tiny wooly mammoths, if you know what those are.

Oh, darling, it's not all that bad. There's at least some good company and you can alchemise almost anything, including clothes.

My wardrobe's grown by leaps and bounds!

It's a damn sight better than where I came from, that's for sure.

I don't think alchemy works at all in the same way in my world as in jarjammed...

Oh, excuse me, darling, I do forget. The game has its own unique vocabulary.

You can make things out of grist -- a substance you get from killing monsters -- and you can combine things. It's really rather wonderful! You'll love it.

The game really isn't as bad as everyone else seems to think! I mean, there are some rather scary aspects, but overall it's better than being back home.

For me, at least.

Maybe your home is just wonderful, I wouldn't know.

Well, if Theo's right, you'll be returned to the same spot with no time having passed, probably due to the multiversal nature of the game. But...

Oh come on, the tasks are not nearly as pointless as you think! They actually are a lot of fun, especially the consort sidequests.

That is the general idea! From my experience, some sidequests get you some important information about the planet, and thus get you closer to your denizen. Even the ones that don't are fun, though! It's like an adventure!
