Lass? Oi, lass?
Mindin' if I'm askin' just what you're doin'? Thought you were promisin' that if I was goin' to be goin' to a game 'twould be that duck one if they were ever to be lettin' me own sort in. Nay good to be breakin' promises, lass.
Well, supposin' me brothers are needin' someone to be lookin' after them, goodness is knowin' France cannae be takin' care of all of them on his own. And if what I've been hearin' is right, they're needin' more folk who are knowin' how to be stagin' a proper rebellion.
But lass, you're in... oh goodness what are you callin' it... college! Aye, college now, you're havin' to be responsible 'gain, havin' homework to be doin' 'stead of writin' this application, rememberin'? Goin' to be trustin' you to be behavin', 'cause if you're nay keepin' up I'll be havin' words with you on the matter.
Wishin' you the best of luck with the personality section,
Brigid Erin Aine O'Donnell, the Republic of Ireland
PS: I'll be keepin' me knives, right? The ones Mother was givin' me?

[A doleful sigh.]
It is supposed to remind us of who we really are, should we... turn into our denizens more fully.
[And he really doesn't like to say it that way, but those are, unfortunately, the facts.]
... what do you mean, I cannot take care of them all on my own?
no subject
Never goin' to be understandin' 'tis makin' these "mundanes" do what they're doin'. [Huffing out a breath.
And then she blinks at him, tilting her head.] Well, I'm knowin' how much Arthur and 'Liam are makin' a body run 'round to bein' ragged, hard for just one person to be keepin' up with. You're goin' to be needin' help 'ventually, Francis lad.
no subject
Non, neither will I. [A pointed glare at his mun.]
Angleterre has a truce with me. Even if he is difficult sometimes, it is nothing I am not used to by now. And as for Écosse... [His face grows a little sheepish.] ... I am not worried. If anything, he has been a great help.
no subject
Aye, I'm bein' used to Arthur as well, still findin' him to be bein' a handful at times. [And then she smirks] Oh has he now?
no subject
[Francis shakes his head.] He has not bothered me at all. We had... some troubles, at first, mais, generally Arthur has been polite to me. If anything, I am worried more with Allemagne than Angleterre. [It may sound like the beginnings of the Apocalypse, but he seems fairly serious about it.]
He has. [And that's all he says on William for now.]
no subject
[Blink... blink] ...Goodness, is the lad alright? 'Tisn't like him to be polite to you. [And give her a second, she's sorta alright with French but that's Canadian French mostly.] You're meanin' Germany? 'Tis wrong with the lad? Other than bein' so blasted serious every wakin' moment, I'm meanin'.
Oh, Proinsias, you cannae be sayin' somethin' like that to me of all folk and be thinkin' I willnae be pesterin' you 'bout it. Least bein' happy, the two of you?
((Proinsais: Irish version of Francis))
no subject
He is all right. We have been allies before, Irlande. You should know this.
[He nods at the mention of Germany.] Well, you see... Allemagne, he only remembers up until 1945. At first, he thought that it had been an Allied trick...
[And Francis can't help but bite his lip as Bri continues to pester him.] As well as can be expected for two people trapped on an island, with little hope of staying ourselves and less hope of escape, je suppose.
no subject
Bein' allies hasnae been stoppin' the two of you from snipin' at each other 'fore now, nay thinkin' ever will, bein' honest.
[And he eyes go wide as she brings a hand to her mouth] Oh dear, aye, I'm seein' the problem. Must be bein' right difficult to be dealin' with.
...Aye, perhaps I should have been puttin' that question into better words. Still, easier to be dealin' with a horrible situation with someone you're bein' on friendly terms with and can be trustin'.
no subject
[France just sighs and nods in agreement. There's nothing really more to say on the subject of Germany.]
On this, I am not so sure, mais... it was very good to see Guillaume, this much is certain. [But he's not so sure he's happy that Will is on the island at all.]
no subject
[And Ireland can hear that unspoken end of the sentence, and her hands clench a moment before slowly reaching out to hold one of France's.] Aye, and 'tween the two of us, we can be doin' our very best to be protectin' him, and he and I'll be protectin' you. May nay be bein' much, but 'tis bein' far better than naethin', aye?
no subject
but he's been canon-updated so France will soon be in for a surpriseIt takes a while for him to react to the touch, and he reacts by finally wrapping his fingers slightly around her hand, not holding her hand, but not leaving his laying there limply either.]
I would rather the two of you not see me turn into this... hideous thing. [Because the Phantom to him was no longer an interesting or even intriguing character. The Phantom was a disease infecting him from the inside out, a parasite. He was another reason to hate the Rulers.] As long as you promise to take care of Guillaume, if I cannot, things will be fine.
no subject
[She smiles comfortingly while squeezing his hand lightly.] I'd be feelin' terrible if I was leavin' you 'lone durin' this, and 'tis sure I am 'Liam would be feelin' even worse than me. And honestly, you're thinkin' you're needin' to be askin' me such a thing? If 'tis only one certainty in the world, 'tis that I'll be takin' care of me twin. Whether he's wantin' me to or nay.
no subject
[Yet his hand remains practically the same - mostly limp, barely hanging on.] What about when I am no longer myself? I think you will want to leave me alone, when this happens. I will be very dangerous, then.
[France grows rather quiet as the subject of William is brought up, again. He doesn't comment, just gives a little nod at her estimation of the situation.]
no subject
[She slides a hand up his arm, resting it lightly just below his elbow] 'Twill all be bein' fine in the end, 'tis sure of it I am. Naythin's goin' on forever, after all.
no subject
[He seems to appreciate the hand on his arm, despite the very serious topic.]
no subject
[And there she goes with her oversimpification of things again.]
no subject
Oui. I trust you will do well, the both of you.
no subject
Now how about your tellin' me 'bout anythin' good happenin' there? Surely somethin's havin' to be bein' bright in all that dark, aye?
no subject
Well, the people there are not so bad. I have met many an interesting face... and, of course, there is never a dull moment as far as our kind are concerned. We Nations have hardly been boring.
And then there is the matter of my shop. It has been very successful. [No he's not beaming what why would you say that.] We have even had customers from the villagers on the island!
no subject
[She raises an eyebrow] You were openin' a shop? What sort of shop?
no subject
And then there are my employees in my shop. They are all very nice and obliging. Sophie and Minato and Kreutzer. And there are many many others... Fluttershy, Louis, George, Yoko...
[He nods.] I tailor clothing for those of us stuck on the island. The Rulers do not like us wearing clothes other than what our denizens would wear... so as such I make them as "costumes".
no subject
Fluttershy? 'Tis bein' an interestin' name, is it one goin' with the personality of the one havin' it? [Oh Ireland, if only you knew that was an understatement...]
'Tis a fine thing you're doin' then, Pronsais. 'Tis sure I am 'tis few who would be thinkin' of doin' such a thing for others when they're bein' in such a place. Lookin' out for themselves first and the like.
no subject
[He smiles, with a nod.] She is a very sweet pony, if quiet and a sometimes... mmm... jumpy, I would say. She is nervous.
There is no point in helping myself. I can do nothing but make clothes, and survive. Some of us, such as the little ones, can hardly do that.
