I am, in fact. A place they call Somarium, the land of dreams-- though so far the only fanciful thing about it has been the ability to publicly broadcast dreams.

Upon arriving in the city, one if given a communicator called a "Dreamberry." [ Here comes a long explanation... ] They allow residents to communicate with anyone in the city, as well as transmit their voice and capture video in much the same way. It's even more convenient than Poisson's pigeon communicator, since the messages are transmitted instantaneously, however... they have the unfortunate side-effect of being capable of capturing and publishing our dreams. They do this almost at random, and, unfortunately, without our consent.

Has anyone been able to uncover the mechanism behind that ability? Could there be a hidden purpose to capturing dreams in such a manner?

Well, the dreams are not so much captured as they are 'recorded.' I wish I knew why, but I don't think anyone has managed to find a reason for that particular function. [ The people in charge aren't exactly walking around, either. :|a ]

Also everyone in the city itself is supposedly already dreaming-- a collective dream or so they say.
