On Princes that won't stay put

Happily ever after does not apply when princes refuse to stay in their bed to get proper rest after a serious battle.

Now that I think about it, I should have made him rest for a week after fighting Maleficent rather than a ball.

I wasn't behind you when you were tied to the chair. [Though for all intents and purposes, being tied down, Eugene couldn't move to defend himself regardless if that had been from the front or back.] Besides, I am sure Aurora could manage if she tried.

I'd think that would stop him running off and hurt enough to keep him in bed. It's worth considering if it happens again?

I'm not sure I could bring myself to do it. Not that I don't think he doesn't somewhat deserve it [Cause he sort of does.] but I just wouldn't want to risk hurting him more.

Oh, that's not breakable. [Aurora chuckles.] Philip is just naturally charming. [She shakes her head.] But I think it would be more impossible for me.

Princes have this tendency to do what they will regardless of personal consequences. Or at least, that's what I've learned of the prince I serve.

My prince seems to think he's immortal... or at least indestructible. Which while charming is not always calming.

I can sympathize with that.

My liege believes it his job to protect as many as possible, which sometimes causes him to act senseless. He's the sort to dive off a tower to save a falling canary. It's usually my job to keep him from doing such things or to make sure he doesn't injure himself too badly as a result.

I'm indeed happy to serve him, highness. Even if it means occasionally following him in senselessness.

Your prince, too, sounds like a man of action and not just words.

Philip is very much about actions but his words are just as sweet and strong.

Proper bed rest is not sloth. If I were to get sick you'd never let me out of your sight. [And she knows she's right. Which is why the kisses aren't entirely soothing her.]
