celebrating 30 years of TRON
Greetings, User!
It feels good to see the old I/O tower in use again after all this time. I was starting to believe you no longer had a use for me. Now that the port of communication's open, what is it that you need?
Oh, I don't know if I'm outfitted for one of these 'games' just yet. They all take place in the User world, don't they? It'd be an honor to go, of course, but there's so much I would need to learn. I haven't availed myself of Flynn's library as much as I should have. Keeping Grid bugs at bay takes most of my runtime these days.

It's been a long time. Good to see you're still around.

I'm sorry I've been missing for so many cycles. I was taken offline for some upgrades.

[For a moment, he forgets all decorum and grasps her hands, watching the glow.]
It's been far too many cycles. I've missed you.

There is a game set on the Grid, however. It's a good place. We're free of Clu, though he's been trying to regain power as of late. You would be welcome there.
[He's still surprised they accepted him back, after the things Rinzler did.]

Everything's in working order for you?

I think you'd l-love the g-game I'm in right now! It's b-blurring the line between the u-user's world and yours!
It's c-called Rakuen, a-and you g-get ta have battles, and n-no one r-really c-can get injured, e-even if pain's felt, so th-they c-can be pretty fun!

I'm glad you've found a safe place. What sort of games do you play?

I'm going to second (or third!) what others have said that not all of these games take place in the User world. The one that I'm in certainly doesn't, and I know we'd welcome another Tron.

Then you're a program I haven't met?

Flynn's made the games on our Grid a safer place, but I'm receiving conflicting data on the state of it all. I hope that holds.

[Now there's a happy surprise. He claps him on the shoulder lightly, unsure whether he's more delighted or shocked.]
I'm awaiting input. Considering my place in the new system.
And, right now, wondering when you recompiled.

Why the glitch would you count the user world as an honor? Take it from yourself, program: it's got more faults than a gridbug nest.]
