Yes. There's a family of them in permanent residence in the town I live in, and enough nearby that they can be called in over the course of a few hours.

For us, pain like that keeps us in human form. The rest sounds about right though. Our bodies don't heal as quickly from silver as they do from other things.

Wolfsbane is one step up from that. A shot in the arm'll poison you, if you can't get an antidote, you're be dead in a couple of days.
