What's this about a new season? (Canon: Totally Spies!)
Yeah, ok, mundane. I know you think I'm a little dusty, but seriously? Once you're a spy, you're a spy forever. It's just like riding a bike! I think...
Besides, it's not like we can let Clover go into this all by herself! Because you know how it always goes. She gets warped unrecognizable, then Alex gets kidnapped, and then I have to go in and pull them back together! (At least, I think that's how it went? I can't exactly remember...)
Anyway. My point is, we've gotta stop over-thinking this stuff and just hop to it! There're tons of baddies out there that need stopping. So! Has Jerry given us our destination yet?
Not that I'm in any place to make requests, but it'd sure be neat if it was someplace foreign and exotic. Maybe someplace cosmopolitan? With lots of sites and relics...

Hopefully you'll have better luck. Admittedly we haven't been around a while. I'm hoping people will start remembering we exist sooner or later.
[But if not, no big.]

Ah, so you face the same situation as I do. If there's anyone out there that remembers you and your friends, I'm sure they'll come for you at some point. You seem nice. I don't see why they would want to avoid you.

[She kept hearing Clover's voice in her head: "Sam-no-fun, Sam-no-fun..."]

[It's okay, Sam. his partner and leader Ryuhou is much, much worse.]
I'm curious. What are schools like where you're from?
no subject
Well, we have four levels of academia. There's elementary school, junior high school, high school, and then college. The first three are general studies, though in high school they encourage you to start thinking about what you want to focus on for your future career. Then in college, you pursue it!

[Now, it's his turn to feel embarrassed. He never did finish school since his powers were often viewed with contempt among his human peers. With no real skills to show for it, he's caught between curiosity and shying away.]
How does one choose their field if let's say that their studies are rather limited?
no subject
Well, usually alongside studies, you see the world around you, and see other people in the career you're leaning towards. For example, I'm leaning towards chemistry of some type, or maybe a political job of some sort. Environmental activism and the like. That wasn't due to anything at school so much as extra-curricular activities.
[Oops, she sees that uneasy expression.] I-I'm sorry, am I going too fast? You get me talking about school and well...[She makes the Pac-Man motion with her hands, indicating her chattiness.]
no subject
No, no, it's fine. I asked and it's good that you're passionate about study. The environmental activism does seem very interesting to me and I would like to pursue that myself. Is there some special study that you recommend? I'm very interested to learn.
[Even with his abilities, if he can make a difference, it would help ease his mind that he's not just some Alter User to be used by the government, while politics is the last thing he wants to get involved in, if he can help it.]

[Wow, another bleeding heart like her? What luck!]

I was thinking more along the lines of humanitarian relief, if that counts. I'm not sure if that fits into the environmental category.
My guess, wherever I am placed, I would probably help in some way to aid those in need.
no subject
I would think something along the lines of Sociology or Anthropology would be more up your alley, then.

[Another embarrassing tidbit of information there for Sam's enjoyment. Thankfully reading and simple math comprehension did stick.]
While we're on the subject of education, do you think it's remotely possible for a person in my educational situation to complete school?
no subject
You know, you could always find a tutor or something. Someone who can spend time with you and see what bits of information you're missing. Bright guy like you, I bet you could be brought up to speed in no time!
no subject
I've been doing a lot of reading and self study in between training and logistics reports. You see, I belong to a militant group of individuals that are specialized in peacekeeping operations through the control of individuals that could pose a threat to humanity.
Unfortunately, through my work, my educational process was put on hold. I can't say that specifically for the others in my team, but it holds true with me. I make no excuses for my lack of it, now that I am aware that it is necessary to advance.

As long as you have the drive, nothing can stop you, right?
no subject
He nods in retrospect from the conversation.]
Right. As a friend once said, knowledge is power. I certainly have a long way to go but I'm on the right track. Maybe I can use it for the best for everyone. I'd like that.
no subject
[Sounds like a nice enough guy.]
no subject
[He tries to be. Sometimes, things just don't work out according to plan, while sometimes it really depends on the information you have that helps to determine the outcome. It took him a while to convince himself that fighting sometimes needs to happen to survive.]
Big or small, I think anything is possible. Now, have you managed to formulate a plan to find your team?
no subject
no subject
I can't be certain of that unless I have more data.
no subject
[Hrm...] So, you're saying that my com-powder...it's breached into some non-dimension?!
no subject
[He's thinking along with you, Sam. He's in a nerd moment.]
I think it did, somehow, pierce through the thin barrier in some way. You know, come to think of it, you know the static we hear on the radio? The layer is so thin it's difficult to tell if it's another reality speaking to us through that static or if it's picking up signals from other sources.
What's to say that someone, somewhere, no matter the time, has found a way to communicate through time? Maybe, I'm overthinking things again.
