momchester finally made a bb account
You know they're just icons, right? [Mary brushes her hair out of her eyes and stares unimpressed into the... wherever it is she's looking.] There's really no need to obsess.
[She rolls her eyes and scoffs in an... incredibly teenage way.]
I don't even know why you made this account. It's not like there's a point. [squaring her shoulders determinedly, self-consciously aware that she looks a little silly.] My life will be way too boring for you to write anything about and that's just fine with me. Got it?

I'M NOT I SWEAR I just loved minifridge and fridge references in general okay
[She almost said 'having a life'.]
i did too but the beatles win all ;a;

[She grins a little, tentative, curious. Go on Mary, tell her more.]

[She just shrugs. Not that she wouldn't love to spill, but rules are rules.]
But I'm going to get away, I know I am.

I'd love to run away.
no subject
What do you want to run from?
no subject
Nothing. It's just my Dad.

If I tell you how my life is weird, will you tell me?
no subject
[She's vaguely planning to lie, but - maybe. If she decides Mary is someone she could tell. A little of it. That might even be a relief.]

[She can't believe she's actually doing this. The look of fear passing over her face is painfully obvious before she swallows it down with a bright smile. It only lasts a few seconds, then fades into something more strained and honest.]
This will be hard to believe, but my parents fight monsters. [It sounds so strange when she says it like that. Only a little deterred, she plunges on. It almost feels good to finally tell someone.] Ghosts, vampires, even demons. I was raised in the life and- not only is it completely terrifying but I have to lie all the time to everyone around me. I've even had to lie to the police before, because they don't know the truth.
no subject
What are they like? Monsters.
no subject
They're- they're awful. Terrifying. So much more than any human should be able to deal with, and a lot of times they are. [Before she knows how to stop it her voice is dipping into a slightly scared stage whisper.] So many people die in that life. I don't even know how my parents have lasted.

What are you?!

I'm human.
You don't have to worry about me.
no subject
But no. She's telling the truth. Mary pockets her knife, slightly shame-faced.]
I'm sorry. Normally the only people who say things like that are... monsters, right before their fangs come out.
no subject
Dad's not. Human. He always says you'll all kill us if you can - and I guess he's right, yeah?
no subject
What is he?
no subject
He's more.
[And that's only the truth, the only truth that matters.]

What's special about him? Are his parents human?
