You amuse me, requesting my aid in your little game. To think that I, Doom, would be stoop so low as to HELP you is almost laughable.  Still, your choice is the correct one.  There is no ruler superior to Doom, and that there was no hesitation on your part save awe and deference?  That bodes well for you.

Yes, that is quite correct, your pitiful ears do not play you false.  Doom will speak for you, so that the princess might hear the voice of a true and noble ruler.  None shall ever say that Doom does not reward those who treat him with due respect.  And your interests serve mine. In truth, it also aggrieves me to see this place so rife with those so called "Mighty Avengers," and more offensively that repugnant pretender, Loki.  The man calls himself a god, but refuses to acknowledge the power of Doom?  Only fools dare claim dominion over that which is mine, and make no mistake, peasant, all the world belongs to me.

I expect your princess is suitably awed by my presence, and for both of your sakes, I hope that she shows the same homage.  Keep your wasted thanks, and instead turn it towards my service.  I must have a voice, and you will give it to me, for only Doom dares to dream, the rest serve.

It is not a complex, it is merely a statement of fact. Doom has vision and power. History is shaped by men with those qualities. If that makes a man a tyrant, then so be it.

Construct a better world? No, change is always feared. That is humankind's failing, fleeing from anything that would alter their pitiful existence like so many cockroaches.
