Woah. That's ancient history. [Okay, not really, but whatever. It feels like forever since he and his sister and uncle fled to the Rebellion.] I'm from- well, it's been three years since the Death Star blew up. That probably doesn't mean anything to you, though.
[D'oh. Stupid misleading online timeline. Mun apologizes.]
You know it. I fly pretty well. My folks ran a shipping company, but we kind of... got pulled into the Rebellion. [Read: dad and bro died, survivors joined up.] I even flew with Commander Skywalker!
Wow, nice! Y'know, they say Skywalker's a pretty common name in the Outer Rim, I know there's actually a wine, I know of people with that name, but I've never actually met anyone else. Alive, I mean. Not that you can really meet dead people. Anyway.
I might be if I met a bunch of Skywalkers. But we're not really that common now. Biggs said a lot of people probably changed their last names after the Clone Wars ended, so they wouldn't seem like they'd have anything to do with that Jedi hero, and I asked my aunt, and she says I'm a Skywalker and not a Lars because my grandmother was a Skywalker before any of that, and they wanted to honor her memory.
Woah. Heavy stuff to carry around for a kid. Guess that means you've gotta wear that name like a badge of honor. But look at it this way. I'm from the future. This means that the name Skywalker's going to mean a lot more than a Jedi hero from the Clone Wars. A Skywalker's going to deal a massive blow to the Empire. So, y'know, wear it with pride, kid.
[Or grow up and blow up the Death Star. Whichever one comes first.]
Ooh, really? Huh. I'm going to leave Tatooine one day, when I'm older, no matter what Fixer says, but I don't want the Empire getting suspicious of me just 'cause of my name. My family's bad enough about the idea of them getting interested, they're really paranoid.
Probably it'll depend. Not like fake names change the real ones, right? "Luke Lars". Or "Luke Jundland", that'd be kind of impressive. "Luke Dunestrider." Too close? And probably I should also think of different first names.
[Oh shit. Quick, make up an excuse!] A-ahaha! It's probably just one big coincidence. Like you said! There's lots of Skywalkers out there. Who's to say there aren't two guys with the same name?
I don't think so? I mean, d_m stuff only counts on d_m. I was and I guess sort of still am in a game where someone spoiled me for pretty much everything, but that only counts there.

[3 ABY is actually ~22 years after the Empire started, but Luke's ignorant of all that.]
Hi, Ace. Is that a descriptive name? Are you a pilot?

That must be weird, having so many unrelated people with the same last name. I know I'd be weirded out if more Azzameens popped up all of a sudden.

Uh. Well. This is awkward. Because the Commander's name is Luke Skywalker.
