Wait what do you mean you want to play me? I don't get it. I don't think I've ever heard play used in that kind of connotation before. Do you mean 'play a game'? or 'Play as in trick'? But it doesn't seem to make much sense if you're telling me about tricking me before you actually do it.

Oh you want me to be in a game? Outside of Equestria? But how can I study magic if I leave Equestria. Also, you know, it's dangerous out there! I have my friends here and I'm staying put.

Exactly. Just trust me on this one and don't get too deep. Better to get romantic on our own time or never than get sucked into our muns' twisted fantasies.

Of course, your mun might be perfectly innocent, but it's just a risk that shouldn't be taken, I think.

[As it's beginning to dawn on her it's not as if she is going to have much choice on the matter.]

No it's good to be prepared. I'll just have to make sure I get all the books I need in advance.

I wish there was one big book that contained all the books in the world but was magically small so we wouldn't break our backs. It would also help if it had a search function and a scroll bar but...dream on, right?

Is there any other pony in your game? My mun is saying something about...Rapidash. What's that about?

Actually, there's something not to unlike that in Route. It's called a Pokedex, and it's small enough to be easily pocket sized yet it contains as much information as several sets of encyclopedias. Hold on, I have one here...

[She pulls out her 'Dex, and then, to answer other Twi's question, flips it open.]

Fluttershy's still with me. The other four were, as was Princess Luna, but they've all gone home. As for Rapidash...

[She holds out the Pokedex as it finishes loading the information.]

That would be this. I don't have one, personally, at least not yet. My mun's unsure of whether to get me one or not, since he's not sure if it qualifies as "obvious" or "too obvious".

[Wow! That looks really awesome! She wants one...but not if it means being hu-man. No offense.]

[She peers curiously at the Rapidash. That looks familiar]

[Dryly]

[Then more up beat]

But I'm glad Princess Luna is getting out. Have you seen Princess Celestia anywhere?

[A bit depressedly.] Not exactly. I've seen leftover messages from her in this area, but I haven't actually gotten to them in time to speak with her myself. Supposedly she was in Johto quite a bit of time before I arrived, but I don't think she was there all that long.

Then there's another area my mun plays me in that's... a bit more of a private place, where he plays out things he wouldn't want to elsewhere. I found what I thought was Princess Celestia there, but it... it turned out to be the Changeling Queen.

[Twilight shudders, remembering that mess all too well. She's can't help but feel sad that..the other her sounds sad.]

Well I'm sure you'll see Princess Celestia again one day. And then you'll have all sorts of amazing things to tell her.

Yeah. I've been categorizing my notes and discoveries, and trying to come up with new friendship lessons.

... I think the best one I've got is one that came after the others left us, and it was only me and Fluttershy left.

What's that?

[Not that she wants to mooch of your notes, other her, but this is important and part of being prepared.]

Well, let me read you what I've got so far.

[Clears throat.]

"Dear Princess Celestia,

No matter how much you might not want to, and how much you try to avoid it, there will be times when you and your friends will become separated, unable to see, write to, or even hear about each other.

In times like these, it's best to remember, no matter how much you miss being with them, that the truest friends are always with you inside, tied to you by an unbreakable bond. When you need their advice and assurance most, just close your eyes and think of them, and for a moment, it can be just like they're right there for you, even if they're thousands of miles or more away.

... Well, what do you think?

Wow... That... that sounds like a really hard lesson to have to learn.

[And she might want to cry a little at hearing it. ~~but she won't cuz her mun doesn't have that icon.~~]

I think Princess Celestia will be very proud of you for learning it.

I think... game or no game, we'd have to learn it sometime.

[She doesn't know or want to know the circumstances that would have lead to it, but life was that way.]

Still... I didn't have the luxury of worrying about myself when I was learning it. Fluttershy... she had it so much worse.

[Friends leaving is not something she wants to think about and it doesn't seem possible. Not in normal everyday life. However, who was she to argue with herself?]

Oh no. What happened to Fluttershy?

Well, it's a combination of two things, really. First of all, she's been there a very long time. When she first arrived, the rest of us were apparently there with her, though I don't remember that visit. Then, one by one, we vanished. She was left all alone.

The time I came in was the second time we'd all been there. So as the others vanished, she was having to deal with it twice, and if it weren't for me staying, she'd be completely alone again.

But it's as if that weren't enough. When they left, she also lost her... special somepony.

Oh my gosh. Poor Fluttershy. That really is horrible. >small>[And she takes a moment to reflect on this. But then something occurs to her]

Exactly was her somepony, anyway? Were there others from Equestria there?

Actually, it was Applejack. The two of them apparently discovered their feelings for each other in Johto.

[She'll just... let that sink in for a bit.]

Oh...well that's...unexpected. [And give her a moment to get over that shock. Not that it's a bad thing. Love is love and all that. But...well...it's not something she ever expected to really happen.]

I hope they can meet up again.

[And secretly selfishly hopes she won't feel all awkwardsauce in the meantime.]

It was at first, but after a bit of consideration it did seem to make sense, and they were cute together-

[She cuts off, and looks a bit depressed.] Well, it doesn't matter anymore. You lose your memories of Johto when you leave it. Even if AJ did return, odds are she wouldn't remember a thing. And Shy knows it.

Maybe not, but if they really love one another I'm sure AJ can um...fall in love with her all over again.

[Wow it is weird to say that]

Hmmm... you know, I actually didn't think about it like that. But, yeah... if they really care for each other that way, they'll figure it out sooner or later.

Eeexactly! See? Even I...er we...can be positive sometimes.

[That gets a little self-disparaging laugh.] Maybe we should try it more often. It's kinda nice.

It is, isn't it? Sometimes, maybe, even the Multiverse works out just right.

I think "just right" would be us and all of our friends getting to go to a game with tons of new things to learn, a... manageable amount of danger, and the ability to still write back to the Princess and get her advice. Oh, and one where we can still be ourselves and not undergo strange changes.

But that's probably asking a bit much.
