Mundane, I shouldn't be the one to remind you of the long list of mistakes you have made in the past. Let me speak for myself when I say that I of all people understand your intrigue with my current emotional state. It's unusual to say the least, and will take some time to become accustomed to.

However, we both know that between the two of us it's unlikely for a common interest to arrise. While the musebox you have me in for the moment seems to have potential, you are far too impatient for the speed of which it seems to go. Memes will get you no where, and yet you refuse to allow me to assist you in writing out an application. It would be beneficial to the both of us if you would simply make up your mind on what you wish to do with me, or let me go about my own devices while you worry about other matters at hand.

Another AU. Well, yay for you. You know, you could be listening to a science podcast or watching a Charles Sonnenburg lecture right now, instead of making another account you'll never use.

Besides, Tadashi is here. Like, literally here, not in the abstract sense. That's just... I just... look, I'm not having the same old arguments with him about what I study and what I'm doing. I'm still not totally sure he ever changed his mind on that. I mean, Callaghan did have a point. Maybe Tadashi was just trying to get me out of the botfighting circuit. How often do people really do a complete 180 on something they've been against their entire life? I'm done with that angst, okay? Things are looking up now and I'd kinda like for them to stay that way.

Could you at least do some more research into, you know, the field I'm building my career in, before we do this? [I did!] Wikipedia doesn't count. I made a drinking game out of their inaccuracies, used gummy worms and still felt drunk by the end of that article on Chernobyl.

Also, gummy worms will totally not hurt your chances of me warming up to this idea. Just a thought.

I find it most illogical that you choose to place me in awkward and somewhat confusing circumstances regarding your leisure time. These games you speak of seem utterly irrelevant to my current status and mission. The Captain will not be pleased to hear that you'd rather use me as a pawn in one of your games, than allow me to complete my duties. Your selfishness alludes me at times.

As much as I try to please your curiosity regarding myself and my mission, I have to get back to work. By taking me away from my responsibilities you are disregarding the lives of the ship and it's crew; a highly illogical and dangerous manoeuvre. Please try to think before you act.
