Moving is HARD though D8
With how much hand-wringing you're doing over this move, I'm surprised you even still have hands at all.
Please, try to relax. I am sure that everything will be perfectly fine. Perhaps you ought to go and busy yourself with something else for a time? I do not mind waiting for you to return.
I have things I must attend to myself, after all. You do not have to entertain me... Save your game hunt for another day.
It is not necessary that my schedule be full all the time.

It has taken her a great deal of time to accept it. However, the issue seems more to stem from a distinct disinterest in relearning the system she has currently. She seems to believe it will be too difficult to adapt.
[And his mun has dragged her feet all the way over here. Really, she's raising quite a fuss.]
I do not reject the idea of having me explore more worlds, however, her interest in having me in all of them at the same time is somewhat more objectionable.
Indeed, I'd much rather be left with some spare time. I have enough to do as it is where I am currently.

Ah, yes. There are differences... But frankly, I don't see the issue. That's what makes it interesting, being able to learn the differences, compare and then either accept or reject it.
[His own mun has been on this site before, perhaps that's why she's been a lot less recalcitrant about the change...]
... All of them? Considering the average amount of time needed to dedicate oneself to one place, let alone more, and that the needed time would, approximately, double with each place... YOur mundane, like any human, need to sleep, I assume.
Perhaps you should point out to her that an Earth cycle is limited in time, and she needs the hours she is awake to do other things as well.
sleep is for people who don't have access to coffee
I agree. I have been somewhat excited about this change. I have heard many fairly decent reviews of this place, and how the differences are mostly positive, but she is... stubborn. I suppose would be the correct word to use.
[It's the polite word to use. Mun dear is still hand flapping over playing him, let alone playing him on a different site]
Her idea of sleep is a strange one. Her chosen profession has led her to taking shifts while the rest of humanity would normally sleep. While not nocturnal, she seems to have made plenty of progress attempting to become as such.
I have attempted to explain that a regular sleep cycle is necessary for proper function, but she seems to believe that enough stimulation will make up for her lack of rest.
sleep is for people who don't get distracted by shiny things ;;
It's decent enough, and the differences seem more in flavour - with, perhaps, one or two substantial differences - that getting used to it ought to be of no greater concern. My own mundane was here before, and she moves quite easily between the two.
[Politeness is usually useful, insofar as it is also the correct word used; one cannot compromise the integrity of an observation or point for being polite.]
That seems to be a common affliction among these mundanes, no matter if they work during times when most of their species is sleeping or not.
[Case in point. Jetfire eyes his own mundane.]
Like shiny giant robots?
I am sure that mine will become as proficient as yours in both areas. As long as she continues to step outside of the boundaries she has set for herself. It seems fairly simple. I am sure it will not take too much effort to adjust at all.
[Oh it's very correct. It's just all the other words are correct with some oomph in it.]
I would imagine that it has a great deal to do with the time zones. Many of my mundanes partners are spread across a very vast space. It stands to reason that many of them would still be in the early hours of the day while her own is nearing the end of it.
Most mundanes seem to disregard the benefits of conversing with full use of their mental faculties.
[Something he has found coffee does not replace in a human, no matter how many cups they drink]
Shiny robots and art!
Time usually solves such issues, yes, and considering this [a wave around them, to indicate both them and... ahem, the coversation(s) further down] she seems to be doing well.
That seems to be the most pressing point; them attempting to spend as much time as possible conversing, or playing with others and battling the differences in time and distance... It's hard to fault them for that, however.
Mmh, yes. I'm not sure about you, but I have some practice with attempting to reason... and converse, with someone who likes to... forgo... full common sense and reason for percieved quick or desired results.
[What. He's absolutely not talking about someone in here. Nope.]
Best reason for not sleeping ever
She seems to just be thrilled enough that she had anyone speaking with her at all. She truly worries far more than necessary... Another barrier she will overcome in the move. ... She seems pleased with your observation, however.
[Pleased or ecstatic.]
I do not fault her for wishing to spend as much time as she can with those who give her joy. What I merely dispute is the ignorance towards the long term effects that sleep deprivation has upon the human body.
I have attempted it. However, pressing too far in the matter tends to end in a rather unfortunate expulsion of human expletives and more stimulants.
[As in 'fuck you robot man coffee is my blood']
Yesss. Except when I need to be up earlier than usual.
She needn't worry. True, my mundane needed someone else to point her this way presently, but if not now, she'd have seen it later... And she was much too amused at the opportunity this presented.
[Dry tone of voice, arch look.]
Indeed not. Though one wonders if it's worse when they do know the problems that come with too little sleep, and yet chronically stay up much too late, all the while bemoaning their decision, both during the night and when they wake up.
[He'll just... shake his helm at that last thing. Unfortunate and rude, indeed.]
Reason seem to be a supply that there's always a too little amount of to go around.
Like staying up till 12 knowing you have to roll out at 6 AM. BEST.
I suppose that would be true of anyone. Though mine not so much. She would not have gone this way had it not been for the mass upheaval in her current game of choice. ... I am pleased yours took the time to take the opportunity. I can honestly say I haven't experienced anything quite like this before.
Both situations are equally frustrating in their own way, I have found. She seems to almost take a certain bit of delight in speaking of how tired she is. And takes the amount of time she's spent awake as some warped badge of pride.
[You have no idea. He's not going to go into the rampant fanfiction searches.]
Or common sense is not nearly so common as it should be. I hope to find that this is merely a stage in human development, rather than a plateau.
Or staying up till 03.30 knowing you have get up at 09.00. D:
It's been quite facinating to observe, this switch and considering what seems to have been going on, it might be for the best, really. Not that I begrudge anyone to react with upset and confusion.
[A helmtilt, well that was certainly a new way of dealing with staying up excessively late.]
Not one I've encountered myself, and it sounds quite a bit more... inconvenient to deal with for you, if less self-recriminating upon the part of your mun.
[Oh, yes, rampant fanfiction or fanart searching... or reading.]
That'd be preferable, but with the number of corroborating observations of other mundanes... it does not seem so.
[Sigh.]
D8 laaaaaame ... Totally not our fault though amirite. also brb gankin' ur icons
[It's both kind of amusing and somewhat unsettling.]
Her greatest accomplishment in her mind to date was the twenty four hours she remained up for an annual reunion. I am understandably concerned that this may happen again. She was only four hours shy of a similar occurrence a week ago.
[Reading and looking for fanart. It's times like those he's happy he's not as popular as the rest
and his mun grumps around and threatens to make her own damn dirty fics]Perhaps if we record the ages, we may find a pattern. It could be something that occurs only in younger mundanes
[He will exhaust all over possible answers damnit]
/gasp my icons! :o Sure go ahead. Distraction by shiny things is killer.
While resisting change is a natural response to it as all things have a certain built-in inertia, one would think that at some point as the situation becomes untenable...
[Condoleances. At least his own tends to merely wail over it, not feel proud.]
... Well, that's surely some sort of accomplishment. [Jetfire's tone of voice implies it's not necessarily a good one, however.]
Mmm... perhaps, but then there would need to be a consensus of what would count as a "younger", or "young" mundane, and at what point the cut-off should be, considering my own, for example, is well beyond the arbitrary age the majority of humans use as a marker for adult responsibilities...
/makes off with all the icons a ha ha ha ha ha
You would be... impressed with how long she is willing to tolerate the near intolerable. The idea of 'impossible' seems to be more of a challenge to her, even when it is fairly clear what the more appropriate choice should be.
[Do you see this face. He agrees so much. You have no idea.] Noteworthy, to be certain.
That is true. I had forgotten the amount of variables involved... Mine is a bit past what would be considered typical age of maturity for an adult human as well... Though she is within the upper, though still average age range of her fellow players.
I will need more time to observe for now, it would seem.
I cannot resist
The two of you will be the destruction of all.

All the trolling, all the time
[Have a pointed look, Starscream.]
But it's usually polite to not interuppt a conversation with an insult.
8O Oh nooooo
While a certain willingness and ability to stand against odds and an untenable situation is certainly impressive, I think at some point reason should prevail and, if not defeat, a reconsideration of one's options should be considered and accepted.
[At least they are on the same page, here
not so strange considering.]Yes, I believe so. Sure, the situation would tempt me to draw a premature conclusion, but in the interest of a proper analysis, the pool of available players I have observed through my mundane's interaction is too small as of yet.
/omnomnomn icons
[True nuff! Great minds think alike?]
The collection of players I have seen now is similarly small. ... I can only assume that this will be used as an excuse to place me in more games.
[That's what you get for speculatin' ha ha ha]
8c /clutches icon to bosom
[Considering they're different universe alternates, one would assume so, yes!]
And even putting our two disparate pools together won't be enough to give a proper set to draw conclusions from, unfortunately... But I hope she does not, both for your sake and hers.
[Jetfire thinks that mun of yours need a gentle tap on her head and a reminder to behave.]
my icon now ha ha
I will hope for the best from her, but she seems fairly set on getting me into another game. Though she is still far too anxious to act upon such whims currently.
[Which is sadly true and he's not sure what to think about this mixed blessing.]
;o;
[Not such an alien concept, really.]
One other game may not hurt anything, as long as she doesn't over-reach herself, I hope it'll be somewhere... agreeable, at least. Some are less than savory or reasonable.
[Deep, disapproving frown.]
>:3
...
[yeah about that agreeable thing. There's a very... um... uncomfortable look appearing. Uncomfortable would be a 'nice' term for it.]
She's been speaking with others. She has a few criteria in mind for an appropriate game now, it would seem.
[why is this his life]
Trololol
My Little Poniesthe most horrible place in existence.Though termination would be a more fitting end for traitor.
y u do dis ;;
I could not abide the ideology. You know well the reasons I left. I would sooner be dead, Starscream.

Most mundanes seem to have an innate desire to make things as uncomfortable for us as they can.
