[The sutra springs from his shoulders, stretching, multiplying and racing toward the other. He aimed to use it not to hurt Cheshire, but to restrain him... and hopefully to dispel the darkness in his mind for only a short while.]

[ This was certainly new-- he'd never been restrained by a sutra before. It was the first restraint he'd not been able to break through in quite some time, and feeling it encircle him, parts wrapping about his arms and legs, forcing him to drop his weapon. His eyes widened and his smile faded, his expression now one of fear and confusion. ]

Nnngh---Aaaah!

[ Make it go away. Not this again. Don't hold him down, don't inject him, don't-- ]

[The light is brighter than ever as the energies of the sutra burn. Sanzo grits his teeth. Not yet. Not yet. He would hold it just a bit longer.]

[ Cheshire can't deal with the amount of pain he's in-- usually when he's attacked, he's too distracted to think about any scars or shots he endures, the pain not being enough to make him acknowledge it. But this... This was worse than anything..

No, this was almost excruciating as when he first became Cheshire. ]

[He strains, holding the sutra where it is.]

[ Cheshire lets out a shrill cry before going limp in the sutra's hold, his strength being sapped without much resistance. ]

[The sutra's glow fades as it slowly lowers Cheshire to the ground, retracting back to Sanzo's shoulders as he will the movement to end.]

[ Once he's lowered to the ground, the crazed hedgehog slowly curls into a fetal position, hugging his knees to his chest and shaking violently. ]

[Sanzo approaches him slowly, cautiously.]

[ Tightens the ball, muttering incoherently to himself. ]

[ His eyes shoot open and he's on all fours nearly immediately, growling-- but not advancing. His teeth are clenched. ]
