She disapproves of the story, being sent there against her will, and even the thought of entering a place which contains the very ponies that rudely interrupted and heckled one of her shows.

Society is capable of evolution, just like every living being. The changes might not always be for the better, but they're there. From what I've seen of the current generation, not enough people know how to behave formally. Honestly, time is no excuse for how youth behaves nowadays.
