Right. So, I'm not sure pointing out why I don't want this personally would work. Instead I'm gonna go with trying to be logical: what games need a technomancer? Now narrow that initial search's results by 'would allow OCs' and 'wouldn't drive me right over the edge'. I need my music, my beads, all that stuff that I use to unwind, or I start making poor decisions. I certainly can't go anywhere without computers since then I go from a loser with a skill that makes me worthwhile to that chick with too much hair dye and no people skills.

Besides, I have a helping-people-thing. Call it a complex if you want. I mean, I wouldn't, brosef, but you've gone ahead and called everything else I do an escapist complex or a coping mechanism or other fancy terms utilized to attempt to cover up your vast lack of knowledge of the psychological and sociological phenomena that make up my life. I need to be useful or no dice. I've made some bad decisions in my life - glitch-hop, anyone? - but I always make it a point to crash and burn the bad guys. It's all I've got to get me out of bed in winter when the live show season dries up, y'know?

Try to canonically be the greatest threat against both good and bad with powers my Mun says makes me too "OP". Any way, technomacy? As in manipulating technology?

Yeah, my mun's first ideas for me involved a lot more powers and shit, dude, it was obnoxious. I'm better off as I am now. Technomancy may be one of those things that's a long story to explain to people the how's and why's of, but it's natural to me, almost like breathing, and you'd be surprised how much good can be when tech responds to your thoughts. I know it's not the greatest superpower out there, but it's not nothing, you know?

My powers is as natural as breathing to me aswell. Though said powers caused quite some trouble for my mother and aunts. I'm familiar with technomacy myself. My active power allows me to imitate all sorts of powers. It's only limited by my imagination.

Powers always cause problems, mostly because, well, we're still people and people are flawed, so our application of powers to situations are going to be flawed as well. [She shrugs, not willing to get into her own family life and instead focusing on his rather massive-sounding powerset.] Dude, your powers sound exhausting. How do you even deal with having that many options crawling around in your head all the time? So glad right now I've only got the one thing.

It's important to be raised correctly so you know how to properly use your powers. Something my mother taught me well. She and her sisters carry a similar weight to mine. Their experience is far greater however. They know the consequences of bad descions.

I tend to limit myself to just a couple of powers. Though it's handy to be able to use powers suitable for the situation. I was more reckless when I was a kid than now. [Chris would argue that he still is reckless.]

You can learn from people outside your family, too, even people without powers. Everyone's got baggage, made mistakes, had things go sideways. So everyone has some insight. We're all living with some bad calls, no matter what our abilities. That's why it's important people look after each other.

Dude, everyone was reckless as a kid. That's part of being a kid.

Learn from people sure. But I can't be honest about my powers. Normal people tend to react badly when you tell them you're a witch. As is the consequences of my bad descions greater. [There's that Bad Future when he ruled the Underworld after all and murdered his brother's fiancee.]

Most kids doesn't summon dragons or make their parents shrink to keep them safe. Oh and it was that time I swapped my pregnant mother and my father's powers. Which lead to my dad experiencing pregnancy...

Normal people remind us of how fragile life can really be and how precious it is. If you keep that in mind while using your powers, you'll be alright. [It's what she does. It's why she hasn't given up - the knowledge that people aren't indestructible, that they don't have her kind of defense against things, and yet they go out and live life anyway in defiance of that. Human beings are precious, wonderful, enduring things, and Joey knows it's cliche, but to exist normally is, in its' own way, inspiring to her.]

I repeat: I am so, so glad I don't have your powerset. Because wow, that sounds like a lot to deal with. If you ever get a therapist, they'll have to write whole new psychology textbooks to cover that, bro.

It is what I do everyday, keep people safe from demons and the like. It's my duty, passed down since Melinda Warren. As the Twice-Blessed child and heir of Excalibur it's my destiny to be a beacon of light.

Trouble is that I can't tell a therapist about it. That said, it would probably help. Being attacked by demons every other week is exhausting.

Sounds like a lot of pressure. I mean, I try to help people, but it was my own choice, not a duty-forced thing. [Much as she barely knows the guy, she knows it's a lot of pressure to feel like you have to do something, enough to know that his situation is more weighty and heavy than hers.]

You could parse your words, see if you could get a therapist and just rephrase the hardest to swallow bits of it. Nobody should be going through this alone.

With these powers and our family history it came naturally. Carrying the destiny put on me by the Angels of Destiny is heavy but not something I mind carrying. Of course I could chose not to, but then Innocents would suffer and it would be a slippy slope down to the other side. It keeps you humble.

I guess I could. But I'd say the best people to help me is in my intimate family. They have been through this before.

Technomancy is basically controlling technology via your mind. Although it's more like I talk to machines and they do things for me, sometimes. Depends on how sophisticated a computer or program is.

Personally I went to a professional. They didn't sell any pink hair dye in my local. Just boring colors like red, brown or platina blonde. Kudos to you for dying it yourself. Must have taken ages.

Ooooh that sounds fun. So you can like tell a computer to bring up your grades and it does that? Sounds nifty.

I ordered the dye online and looked up tutorials. It took longer than even I'm willing to admit. But it really does brighten the day up, you know? Totally worth it.

If I did that the humans operating the computer would still notice. You've gotta be more subtle than that with it. Unless the person whose tech you're fiddling with is a jackass who has it coming, then you can just go nuts.

It can be. Sometimes you really don't want to know what's on someone's computer, though. And the first time I tried connecting my consciousness to the internet I passed out from a very literal case of information overload.

Oh yeah that would be tertible. You might step into some porn of people pretending to be babies or like scat. Some people have really gross fetisches.

Also yeah I can see how the Internet would be overwhelming.

You don't wanna know the things I've seen. No really, you don't. It stopped being funny and got weird in a hurry.

I don't even remember what I saw the first time I tried to connect myself to the internet's dataflow. Just having wild fever dreams for a bit and waking up at my desk feeling hungover beyond your imagination. Even now it's a really rough ride and I've got to have extremely specific goals to get to, and it's gotta be a get-in-get-out job. No lingering allowed if you value your sanity. And I still haven't tried connecting my head to YouTube. It's not something I wanna try.

Yeah, my mun is Extra like that. And so am I. Best four hours of my life was spent dying this in; I regret nothing.

Well I doubt if I go to a low-tech place I'd be all that helpful. Also, I don't like or play nice with magic. Makes my powers go all screwy if I get exposed to too much of it. So it's probably a shorter list than you'd initially think, and if this is worth doing, it's worth doing right, y'know?
