Mundane. A word, if I may.
Now. Credit where credit is due, you've been attentive in seeing that I have room to conduct my affairs, while we both await the end of this year's story and I find myself a more permanent home.
Oh, I wouldn't start looking pleased with myself just yet.
I believe I was quite specific in my requests for my placement. Namely that romance and...activities associated with it are to be avoided at all costs. And yet here we are, two out of two encounters later. Not off to a very good start, are we? Luckily I am not without a certain measure of understanding. I trust you know what to do about this. We wouldn't want your poor choices to result in anything unpleasant, would we?
Of course not. I didn't think we did.
So glad we could have this little chat.

[That sounds familiar.]
That seems terribly unfair, I'm sorry to hear that.

Some people simply need a reminder. I don't grant them often.

What sort of business are you in, if you don't mind my asking?

[ There's the faintest of smirks there, all traces of displeasure slipping out of sight. ]
A pawnbroker by trade, purveyor of all manner of objects and services. Some unique or unusual, some practical in nature, and some valued simply for sentiment's sake. I buy, sell, trade...anything you could want is available.
For a price, of course.

[The price she isn't surprised by, although it begs the question as to how much people are willing to pay for certain things.]
That sounds a little too good to be true, if you ask me.

Admittedly there are some limits to what I can provide. Love and life restored once lost are obviously out of the question.

[Evelyn herself is quite happy with things the way they are, and couldn't ask for more. But she does know people who think otherwise.]

[ He shrugs mildly. ]
What's life without work?

[Filled with plenty of people who probably wouldn't mind looking into acquiring things they want, whatever those things might be.
Evelyn scribbles something down on a slip of paper and hands it to him.]
It might even be to your tastes, whatever they may be.
[She smiles helpfully.]

[ He surveys the paper with a steady gaze, wheels obviously turning. Then he glances up, smiling thinly. ]
The first to come recommended. That has to count for something.
If you ARE actually interested and have any questions, feel free to PM me! c:
Your excitement is stifling.
