See, Mundane, I know you know that I am, quite frankly, bored. What should we do about it?

I like the way you think. [He doesn't seem at all fazed at his current companion's...shortness. He likes to think it'll give him a good burst of speed if he needs to start running for, oh, any reason at all] Personally, I find EVA miniature golf to solve that problem!

...what is that?

It's golf, with a space suit. Best game of golf you could ever want! I think you'd like it, provided they can fight a space suit in your size.

...um. [ golf? space suit? what do those words even meeeean ] I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about, sir.

[The Doctor's face positively lights up. He loves the ones that don't know what space or golf is - it gives him an excuse to accidentally show them. And by accidentally he means accidentally-on-purpose. It's something of an art-form]

Good! Then I'll have to ask if you're free tomorrow! [Rubs his hand together briskly]

[ looks at his companion quite suspiciously: ] What for?

Golf! And some spacesuit sizing. Probably need that, EVA golf's no fun if you can't even see out the helmet.

Why can't you just show me those things here?

Because! [The Doctor even looks embarrassed at his lack of foresight] I didn't think to start keeping spacesuits in my pockets, you know! [It's just a tiny bit defensive]

Well, I really don't want to bother you anymore than I should. [ because going away with an unknown Big Folk? clearly not the best idea ever ]

[It's a bit odd that a hobbit of all people has more of a Stranger Danger sense than all the Doctors companions popping around the universe. Clearly they need some lessons from the Shire]

EVA golf is never a bother. Oh, right, I forgot. Introductions! I'd rather not be called Hey You or Stop Right There. [He stoops to extend his hand]. The Doctor!

The Doctor. [ pause. but he does shake the offered hand, though! ] Of what?

Good question! Let's go with "Doctor of Everything". I find plain old "Doctor" is much shorter.
