[He's only stating the truth. Children are blessings, yes, but they deserve to be raised by parents that can give them all they need. Jedi can't. Anakin proved that and now Luke. Rey is now in a position where she will either push forward and become a great force of good or let bitterness consume her and fall to the Dark Side.]

I have known the Skywalker family since your grandfather was a child. There is a reason Jedi are forbidden to marry and have families; a reason I thought I made clear with Anakin.

[His features soften and he rests a hand on her shoulder.]

It was still hard to swallow that Darth Vader was her grandfather. Especially when Obi-Wan was talking about him in such a way.

Looking from the hand that now rested on her shoulder, Rey lifted her gaze to look at him.

"I learned how to take care of myself." As it was, she had quickly made progress with the force all on her own. She still was shocked at how easy it had come to her once she knew she had it.

You are a Skywalker. [There is obvious affection in his eyes at that statement.] I am not worried about you finding your way. I only wish I could make it easier.

Her life has never been easy for her, but she had grown used to it. In fact, it was almost impossible for her to imagine a simple life.

The tiniest of smiles tugged at her lips in amusement.

"Well, I was able to find my own way easily enough. Probably more than was normal. I just had to close my eyes." She explained vaguely, before giving a bit more detail.

"The force. I never knew I could feel so powerful."
