'Ey. What gives, mun? Makin' me 'fly' because I stepped on a hidden jump spring? I'm an ARC Trooper, not some Shiny who's never set foot outside of Kamino. I shouldn't be makin' that many mistakes jus' 'cause it's a different setting.

[Echo shakes his head.]

Honestly. This is the second time I find out I can't keep my feet on th'ground...

I get how distractin' the whole city can be, but I should be used to its weirdness by now. There's so much t'look into an' research. I have the time t'spare now!

...Waitaminute, hold on there – what d'ya mean, "not this coming week"?

Troopers normally fly in transports. It must be a highly unusual place you have ventured into.

I do not disagree in that one should find out as much as one can about the terrain and layout of a new place, however.

...it seems your mundane has plans for you.

[personal profile] plo_kool 2015-11-22 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
[The Kel Dor nods.]

A living city- not in the usual sense? What an unusual situation you've found yourself in.

From what I've observed in places such as these, that seems to normally be the case when it comes to the plotting of the mundane. Sometimes, we can do nothing more than trust that they will use their better judgment.

[personal profile] plo_kool 2015-11-22 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
And yet you are there, Echo, was it? Perhaps you have been called there for a purpose.

Ah, that is something that must be constantly dealt with. Can you reach a compromise?

[personal profile] plo_kool 2015-11-22 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
That may be the purpose you were originally meant to fulfill, but the Force may guide us to different paths that we would have never thought to take. The answers may not yet be revealed to you, but they will, in time.

Unfortunately some may be more stubborn than others. Is there any way I can be of assistance?

[personal profile] plo_kool 2015-11-22 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
Sometimes the things you are called to do turn out to be different than that which you prepared for.

Do not try to hurry things. Patience is always key.

...very well. At least you are capable of discussing it. Others may not have that luxury.

[personal profile] plo_kool 2015-11-22 09:12 am (UTC)(link)
It is not so bad to think back to the basics. We all need a reminder at times.

Ah, that is fortunate. So long as communication is possible, then not all is lost. Then I shall leave you to do what you must do.

[personal profile] plo_kool 2015-11-22 09:46 am (UTC)(link)
You are quite welcome, Echo.

...may the Force be with you.

[Kit Fisto looks mildly amused. Of course, he usually does, so that doesn't really tell you anything.]

Even the most experienced of soldiers is capable of making mistakes. The important thing is to learn from them.

Though it seems your mun may be keeping you a bit busy to do much learning in the near future.

Given what I've heard about the unusual city you've been living in, I would say that a few mistakes are excusable. Especially when it entirely restructures itself overnight.

[He's actually sort of impressed with how well you've been doing there so far, accidental flights notwithstanding. He's not there yet, but his mun pays attention.]

It does seem to be a common occurrence where mundanes are involved, doesn't it?

[He hasn't been a muse long enough for it to happen to him personally, but knows it's just a matter of time.]

Perhaps they simply don't wish us to get bored. Though their methods of keeping us on our toes can sometimes be questionable.

[personal profile] dredi_master 2015-12-03 06:06 am (UTC)(link)
And me as well. Has your mundane sent you to any 'memes' yet?
dredi_master: (Chillin')

[personal profile] dredi_master 2015-12-04 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
Mine has too. Though she's been a bit busy lately to seriously consider it.

Given the kinds of things I've heard can happen in 'memes', I should probably be glad of the reprieve, however temporary it may be.

[personal profile] dredi_master 2015-12-14 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
Sometimes. Certain memes can allow us to experience situations or meet people that we wouldn't be able to elsewhere.

Others, however, are solely for the mundane's amusement.

[personal profile] dredi_master 2015-12-15 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
Oh? What sort of meme?
dredi_master: (Chillin')

[personal profile] dredi_master 2015-12-15 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh Echo, you're lucky he's a Jedi Master, and thus not the type to laugh at others' misfortunes, however harmless they may be. The most that happens is that his default slight smile gets a little broader.]

Hmm... I'm not entirely certain which category that meme falls into. Though I suspect it's the latter.
dredi_master: (Chillin')

[personal profile] dredi_master 2015-12-16 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
[OK, now he does chuckles, just slightly, at that face Echo's making. He reaches out to rest a hand on Echo's armored shoulder.]

At least it's a relatively harmless one?
dredi_master: (Chillin')

[personal profile] dredi_master 2015-12-18 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
Oh? And what is harmful about kissing?

[Hey, even Jedi Masters are allowed to get in a little bit of teasing now and then.]
dredi_master: (Chillin')

[personal profile] dredi_master 2015-12-19 06:33 am (UTC)(link)
[Yes he is. From a certain point of view.]

Well, perhaps this can be seen as a chance to expand your horizons, hmm?
dredi_master: (Chillin')

[personal profile] dredi_master 2015-12-19 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Opportunities for such expansion rarely come at a time or in a manner of our choosing, even when mundanes are not involved.

[Fun fact; many Jedi Masters like to troll their subordinates now and then, but there's usually some teaching mixed in there if you pay attention.]

Still, I understand your reluctance. Romantic attachment is forbidden to Jedi, and while it is not so for clones to the best of my knowledge, neither is it encouraged by most officers.

[personal profile] dredi_master 2015-12-20 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
[Kit nods.]

These are hardly normal circumstances, yes. For either of us.

[Not gonna mention the fact that he's kind of dead back home, nope.]

Still, we can make the best of the situation. And potentially gain some valuable experience from it.
dredi_master: (Default)

[personal profile] dredi_master 2015-12-21 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
[And that right there is why he's not mentioning it. No need to distress Echo unnecessarily with things he can't change.]

As will we both. May the Force be with you, Echo.
