canon is fallen london!
No.
How clear do I need t'make this? No. I don't have time for this. Whatever you're on about with 'porting' me here - it needs to stop. I have things to hunt, places to be, food to eat: how exactly is your taking me away going t'help with any of that?
It's not. That's my point, here. You aren't helping anything.
(At least we're inside. That's something, right? The Neath has such a strong claim on me I'd be surprised if I last two minutes in the sunlight.)

Hi there! :D /Also plays Fallen London

Mine doesn't listen. They never do. Reminds me of a cat I know, actually.

As for cats... the ones I talk to tend to listen, but I think they're atypical. They're not London cats, at least.
no subject
Mm. London cats are unusual, yes; but I've been there for years, it's hard to remember sometimes that many people have never seen a cat speak. Do they have useful things to say? Yes. Are they incredibly flippant and refuse to concede? Frequently.
My comparisons are not altogether incorrect.

[It's a silly question, as from Nita's perspective there haven't been vampires on Earth since 1652, but still. :P]
And yeah, you're right in regards to the cats.
no subject
I appreciate cats, but...they're not the most pleasant to converse with.

Long story short -- London got dragged underground by bats thirty years ago and now we all live in a cave with lotsa mushrooms. That's about it for anythin' interesting.
no subject
[After their explanation:]
Ahh. That explains why you prefer surface food, then. All those mushrooms.
[She's holding back on expressing her confusion, because odds are Alexis is just as in on the answers as Nita is.]

There's ways to get around the food. You just need to not be picky.
no subject
I can only imagine. ... Any way I can help, with the food thing?
no subject
...That's about it, t'be honest. Any variety is better than none. I eat a lot in any case, I'm not picky in the slightest.
This alright?
Will this do?
yep! i don't have a sparkly-eyed icon for alexis haha
No time for talking, only devouring.]
Re: yep! i don't have a sparkly-eyed icon for alexis haha
Really? Gosh, that is both impressive and scary. Alexis could probably win any eating contest.]

Alexis finishes up quick, wiping their mouth with the back of their hand.]
...you were sayin'?
... What's your Fallen London handle? That is, if you want to share it? ^^;
[Nita needs a moment; this is utterly strange for her.]
You okay? You need another sandwich or anything?
it's Daekie!
I mean. If another sandwich is possible, I'd like that. It'd be really nice.
[Alexis bites their lip selfconsciously. What's a social grace? Who know.]
I'm Autistic_Ace there! Will send a Calling Card post-haste!
[And thus, with the help of her mun, have another! https://sp.yimg.com/ib/th?id=JN.h9ZUvCnxOQPeA3jif5CD7Q&pid=15.1&P=0 Assuming this link works, at any rate. |D]
[Nita's beginning to wonder if Alexis is perpetually starving in London, or if this is a supernatural hunger, though that second suspicion isn't fully formed yet.]
no subject
Or Mr Eaten's. Probably Mr Eaten's. Almost undoubtedly Mr Eaten's.]
no subject
i'm not aware of it, no!
[The words come out small and stubborn -- it's good to play it safe, but apologizing always feels stilted and unnatural.]
S'great. ^^ It's a definite contrast to Fallen London, but fun nonetheless.
[Nita says, after a moment. The tone is noted but not commented on.]
Anytime you need something extra, I'll try and help you out, okay?
