...I haven't the slightest clue why, but this name you've picked out alone is giving me a headache...

On the other hand, this wouldn't be the first time you've caused trouble for those you give voices to, would it? You seem quite familiar with the idea of making a mess of things for them...

That aside, I suggest you get your priorities straightened back out. You have better things to do than just lie around.

He does this a lot. Don't let it get to you.

Probably, though you could still do worse than him if he was.

...Sure seems like he's picking up a lot of Naval sorts as of late, though. You an officer, or...?

[Or is this one another ship?]

Yeah. Said she "had the soul of a battleship" or something to that effect. She... was something else.

It's fine. You should see the newest member of my squadron. She's a well-meaning spaz. Think her and Kongou might get along.

Guess I should introduce myself. Manfred Vaeris, commander of the 924th Sorlian Mercenary Fighter Wing, SkyKnight Squadron. Callsign is "Specter."

[If she's the type that can respect a mercenary soldier, his position and responsibilities probably puts him at the rank of naval Commander, or perhaps even Captain. A high rank for someone his age.]

The first of a line, then? Well... nice to meet you. Afraid I haven't heard of that particular class of warship, though.

[They often aren't. But with any luck, she might see an exception.]

I had plenty of air force training, but left when they stopped needing pilots. Instead, formed my own mercenary group. The rest of it has been active combat experience as a mercenary and fighting in the New Rian Civil War and Kallian Liberation War. Flown hundreds of sorties and already have scored hundreds of victories in the sky.

[In other words, he's probably comparable to some of the greatest aces on Earth, despite being a mercenary. But there's the answer: he formed his own squadron and earned his prestige through combat performance.]

What, exactly, is the problem here? I'm afraid I don't see it.

Oh. Well, I'm afraid that doesn't make any more sense to me, but if that's all you can say, I see no point in dwelling on it.

The best advice I can give you is just try to get used to the mun's personality and quirks. It's a very "live and let live" sort of situation.

To be perfectly frank, there's little, if anything, you can do to make him change his behavior. You're best off focusing on the things you can change.

In fact, there's an old prayer that's sometimes still said today. "Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage the change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

...Tourist trap? That's a strange one, all right.

Though it looks like you're not the only one with a weird name. And with a trouble causing mundane.

[There's a quiet grumble, almost indignant.]

Wouldn't need to if people started explaining what they mean instead of expecting everyone to know it already.
