[ It's kind of incredible how he manages to look grumpy even with his mouth forced into a smile. ]

Of course you don't; that's what I'm here for. [The finger used to try and make him smile moves to under his chin with a little skritch.]

[ A quiet sigh as his head tilts back - whether it does so out of exasperation or to allow her hand to continue its work is a mystery. ]

There aren't many people I'm okay with following orders from. This... mun guy? Not one of them.

[ Not that they aren't perfectly capable even without his help, but he's not about to risk letting anything happen because he refused to stick around. Blind or not, he has to look out for CFVY first and foremost. ]

[Smirking, she gives him a pat on the head, rather than go for his rear. Those were reserved for when he's done extraordinary on the field, which for Fox, was almost always.]

[ His gaze shifts to where he assumes her eyes are - he's gotten pretty good at determining it by now. ]

[ Even in a completely deadpan tone, even without any change in his expression, he assumes she'll know he's kidding. ]

For someone who does something to my teammates, death would be far too easy and relaxed of a punishment.

I'm not sure how much they'd suffer in a coma, though.

Naturally, I'd visit, ad remind them every day of what they did towards you or anyone of CFVY. Sadistic as it might be. [Partially shrugs, adjusting her dark glasses.]

If anything it would just be a slow death.

[ He bites back a sharp retort about how it isn't so good to be around this place - getting snappy at Velvet is virtually a sin. Instead he forces a slow breath through his lungs, before responding with somewhat forced calmness. ]

A little disoriented by all of this, but I guess it could be worse.

I don't have a choice. [ He jerks a thumb towards Coco up there. ] I don't think I'll be allowed to live it down otherwise.

[ But he seems a bit less angry now that the whole team's afoot - he's not always the best at expressing it, but he is glad for their company. ]

Speaking of holding up, are you?

[she looks at fox and tilts her head lightly at the question.]

I'm just fine, don't worry about me. At least everyone was able to see our teamwork in that last fight.

[ To be fair they kind of each did their own thing... but then again the threat was contained enough that they could afford to. Which might be for the best - Vale may not survive a genuine combined assault from CFVY. ]

Hopefully that's the last time we have to fight Grimm in the city streets.

My... um.. mun doubts that. We'll probably have tons more fights like this in the future.

I don't mind killing Grimm. I'd just rather take the fight to their territory so we can beat them back to wherever they came from.
