[he drags a paw down his face as his tail flicks in agitation.]

Taking me from that game isn't going to help... Sora is there, but what is that going to do for me? He won't recognise me. I won't even recognise me. [bristling up, he snarls.] Haven't I suffered enough? Why do you want me to go there?!

[Kairi recognizes him immediately it's kinda hard not to and gasps softly in surprise.]

Oh! You're the one who helped us escape the Bastion last year, weren't you? Your mun is going to take you to Holly Heights, too?

[that gasp is probably because he's UGLY..... but he... vaguely recognises her too? a friend of sora's. what did that witch call those girls? princesses of heart? something like that. he nods and glances to her, then averts his eyes.]

She might. She already has someone there, someone-- [more beautiful.] better for the town. You're going there too, aren't you. You'd be good there.

Probably, if they let me in. I'll find out in a few days. [She frowns a little at his choice of words.] Better for the town? I don't see why you wouldn't do okay, unless you're not used to living in a town. Then it might be a little weird, but you'll get used to it. Besides, even if you have a hard time adjusting, Sora'll be there and I know he'll help you. I'll do the best I can, too.

The other girl. Milly. She's nothing like me... People like her. People aren't afraid of her.

I've lived in a castle my entire life, away from people. [in his mind, his servants didn't count. he cared for them, but they cared for him too. they didn't judge him like others did.] Change is... hard for me. If Belle was there with me, I'd do better. Being separated from her... no. No, I can't be scared.

[She nods, listening to him and his worries. They weren't unfounded at all. If Sora and Riku weren't there, likely she would be feeling the same way as him. So she wants to do her best to help him.]

Why would anyone be afraid? Yeah, you're kinda big and hairy, but once they got to know you they wouldn't be. And if they can't look past that, well... then they're not meant to be your friend.

[Oy vey, Beast. No wonder this is so daunting for you.] You've been pretty isolated. And it sounds like Belle's one of the only people you've been in contact with - and you care so much about her - so it's okay to be scared. Anyone would be. But you won't be doing it alone. I know Sora and I aren't Belle, but we'll do whatever it takes to help you. So... it'll be okay. You'll see. Once you adjust, I think it'll be just fine.

[he sighs, because thinking poorly of himself is all he does nowadays.]

That town makes it possible for anyone to be human. It happens as soon as you enter. But, I... Don't know if it's time for me. There's something I haven't done yet.

It seems like it'll be that way... I'm not so sure about it, though. I know... Sora, but who else?

You... will? I'm sure the people there love you. You seem like someone they'd like. But will anyone... really want to meet someone like me? They don't know what I'm really like.

She might be there. And besides, do you really want her to be in that sort of place? [ Well -- yes. Because they are both pretty selfish, lets be honest. This one has just gotten better at hiding it. ]

She's not there yet. And she would like it there. People would love her, and she always talks about adventure... I don't want her to be unhappy, though. That's the last thing I want.

That's true. [ He and Belle have gone on some amazing adventures since their marriage...but probably for the best not to tell that to his past self, considering he could still be kind of touchy. ] If she wants to go, then she'll go. She's never been one for others making decisions for her.

I've... heard of other worlds. They're different from the ones Sora talked about, than Hollow Bastion. Adventure would be... great, but it wouldn't be the same without you. I want to be with you.
