Besides, My Little Pony is on in a few minutes. You know how I love the Canterlot Wedding two-parter, and it's almost the weekend. I want to sleep in like a normal person for once.

Don't talk bad about my parents. They're good people and I'm blessed to have them no matter how I ended up with them. I love them. And so long as they're in HYDRA, I'll be in it with them. Wouldn't you do the same for your parents?

It's the organisation I dislike, not your folks specifically. And as far as I know my folks don't know I'm a super hero. It's safer for them that way.

Not... really? I mean, my parents are really great. I can tell them anything, especially my dad. Unless it's girl stuff and then it's my mom's arena. I try not to talk a lot about stuff that bothers them but they know about that stuff anyway.

Well, that and there's the whole international law thing - I don't know if you can arrest somebody in Iceland for making a threat on an American and try them for that? Would that have to go to international court? I'm still working on getting my passport, are there rules about traveling without it? If we both end up with fines for stuff that isn't even what we were arguing about I think we kinda failed no matter who wins.

I was under the impression that super heroes are exempt from that sort of thing since they wiped out the Super Human Registration Act a while back. Your situation sounds kind of complicated, and I sure as hell wouldn't want either of us to get a fine.
Tell you what, I've got a politically sound idea. How about we spar somewhere, using our skills and powers, and whoever loses buys the other lunch? But to fair we also say the loser picks the venue in case of lack of funds.

Well, an Icelander cannot exit the country unaccompanied if they're a minor. So I'd have to call my parents and check the passport laws unless superheroes immunity to fines extends to people they're arresting. Does it? I really need to look up all this stuff.
Um... should I bring my sword or leave it behind? I know you have more experience and armor but if I end up seriously injuring you I won't have to worry about the Avengers, my parents will ground me forever. But if you have weapons and I don't then that's kind of skewed.

You probably should if you're gonna... I dunno, be a cute little terrorist or something. You know if you weren't so clearly with the bad guys I'd have at least considered you for a side kick since you know your stuff.

Are you even going to be able to hit me with that size difference? I... kind of have weapons. It's complicated. Ultimately I'm more of a scout type.

[She grins, and rubs her neck sheepishly.] There was this girl when I was five. I had the biggest crush on her. She thought I was cute in this school play where I played a knight. So I went home and I knew I was going to weapons training and I begged to do sword training. I'm not sure how I thought she'd ever believe me when I said I knew how to use a real sword, but. It made sense at the time.

That's sweet, like how I had a thing for Lauren Ellis when I was six so I spent a year on piano reticals just so I could hang about her. You do weird shit when you're a little kid if it's for that weird initial love when you don't especially get love thing.
Alright, if I wear my armour and can shrink, I'll give you the option to use it if you want to. Just be careful. Don't swords have a dull edge thing if you twist them round, or is that just in video games?

It all makes sense at the time. And I got a kiss on the cheek out of it after I brought the actual sword to school, but then I got detention for bringing a weapon to school. This is why my parents lock it up now. Do something stupid to impress a girl once and they never let you live it down...
Depends on the sword, actually. I've used both kinds. It's actually the weight of the metal that throws people off - if you're used to one sword, something that weighs significantly more or less will throw your balance off entirely. That's where people injure themselves with a weapon they think they can handle.
Dude! I should totally teach you how to use swords. It's a really great workout and your spatial awareness spikes. And you will feel like a badass for the rest of your life.

I like sword fighting and nobody wants to spar with me anymore. It's really sucky. So yeah, we should do sword fights. And then get ice cream.

It's fine, girls are hot anyway. But it's nothing to be worried about, though if you'd ever met my friends you'd have probably spent most of the time playing poker and video games together.
