Congratulations, mundane, on the extraordinary achievement that is your soon-to-be second legendary cloak! Why, it is almost as if you haven't been meaninglessly squandering these past several months on more trivial pursuits.

I would salute you, but my capacity for sarcasm is all but exhausted. Truly, mundane, you have been living up to your title, haven't you? I haven't even gotten started on your astonishing lack of interest in acquiring what should have been your favorite summer reading material. That book came out how many months ago now? And yet you have done nothing. Is trying my patience the only form of entertainment your pitiful mind can devise?

I do not accept your excuse that this is "compensation" for the fact that certain dialogue responses are no longer available in your "game." How many times must I say "you do not want to make it onto my list" before the message sinks in?

There is the remaining grievance regarding your appalling lack of progress in obtaining a certain pair of daggers, but I feel I've rather made my point. Do not disappoint me again.

Do you truly think that the conflict would have ended so easily, with so many members of both the Horde and the Alliance still bearing grudges? Not all are as quick to forgive as you, dear prince, or as willing to blind themselves to the flaws of others. You see a better nature in everyone only because you project your hopes upon them, your ideals and how you think the world should be. If the world truly worked like that, there would have been an end to this conflict ages ago. Don't tell me you still think that kind words alone are enough to end all wars!

No. If we are to unite Azeroth against the threat to come, we will need to resort to more extreme measures. How else will we be prepared in time? You cannot rush diplomacy, assuming that such a tactic would succeed at all!

I only mentioned my father to put things in perspective for you. I may not be capable of that level of destruction, but I am capable of doing much more than wrecking a single building. Do not compare me to him.

You still think me a fool. I have studied enough of wars and history to know there is never an easy end conflict and peace is even more difficult to maintain. You were at the trial and you witness for yourself many who were rightly wronged express otherwise. Great good can occur from the worst of situations if we give it the chance to, but we have to try first. Everyone has the ability to change things for the better. Sadly, they do not always choose to do what is right.

[Of course, belief in what you think is right can lead some down very dangerous paths. It is hard for him not to think the worse might come of all this if any of them continue to move forward.

That is why he has to keep trying and if it means being at odds with one he called friend then so be it.]

Trying is not nearly good enough, dear prince, whatever fairy tales you may tell yourself. Your words only prove my point: people do not always choose to do what is right. At the very least, what most people think to be right cannot be said to be the same as what you think is right. You cannot know who might disagree with you or betray you with absolute certainty. Your way only hands others the opportunity to do so on a silver platter.

Wouldn't eliminating that uncertainty serve us better in the long run?

[If Anduin disagrees now, he truly has learned nothing, but the thought does nothing to reduce the sting of his final words. Wrathion is not his father, he is not, and if he had been anything other than a black dragon, Anduin would be able to see that!]

My actions were necessary, Prince Anduin. Condemn me for them if it pleases you, but you cannot convince me that they were wrong.

[The princes lips twist and set into a frown as Wrathion further presses the issue of betrayal. He hates to even acknowledge the dragon has a point let alone correct, but in this case Wrathion is right and as was mentioned it was not in Anduin to see betrayal. He was far too trusting and it took a harsh lesson to teach him otherwise.]

In the end we all do the same and in a way I suppose I should at least thank you for that much.

The Alliance is the strongest it has been in decades, we are united to face a common enemy. We will stop you and anything else you see fit to challenge us with.

[Anduin has a feeling the Horde will not so easily bend at the knee either.]

[For an instant, there's something almost feral in the grin he gives Anduin then, some indication of his true draconic nature bleeding through his human guise, but the facade is quick to return. Much as the human prince may claim otherwise, Wrathion is perfectly in control of himself. He will never succumb to madness.]

I do not think those on Draenor will be as forgiving as the pandaren are.

I am well aware that there are few hosts as exceptional as the pandaren, yes.

[And there may finally be just the tiniest flicker of guilt on his face. It may even be genuine.]

You keep mentioning that tavern. You weren't even there when it happened.

Something that is probably for the best. However, my player visits it often enough that I know of it's state and if I had the choice I would go and make amends on your behalf.

Draenor is proving to be an interesting place. Though I doubt I will be seeing all it has to offer first hand.

[Wrathion is in fact very interested in Anduin's health, significantly less so about the weather. If the other prince is only going to deflect, though, he'll (grudgingly) accept it.

At first it does not appear at all dangerous as others initial described it. Shadowmoon Valley is amazing! I never would have imagined that a land that is kept in perpetual night could thrive so well with only the light from the moon. The stars and sky there give anything we have seen in pandaria a good run for it's money.

It is nothing magical based, Shadowmoon Valley is located in far south east of Draenor. The moon that circles the planet called The Pale Lady shines so brightly there that it has replaced all other sources of natural light. Even during the day. More importantly Shadowmoon Valley is home to Karabor, the home of my mentor the Prophet Velen.

Fascinating! [Not about Karabor, the other part.] I look forward to seeing it with my own eyes.

That name, "the Pale Lady," is it a reference to some myth, goddess, or spirit? Do the people of Karabor have any records of such a thing? Books, perhaps?

It is a pity the Alliance will not be lingering there as original planned. It did seem like the perfect place to secure our foot hold on the planet.

As far as I know it is just a name, unlike the larger of Azeroth's moon which is a reference to Elune. Karabor is full of many things beyond books, it is the heart of the draenei civilization and their most holy of temples.

[Not their choice nor his own, and if he had any say in the matter he would stay to fulfill his own curiosities. Some where along the lines someone decided Ashran would be a better place to lay down faction foundations. Ironically, in the correct timeline it is the same island that Deathwing chooses to make his own.]
