Congratulations, mundane, on the extraordinary achievement that is your soon-to-be second legendary cloak! Why, it is almost as if you haven't been meaninglessly squandering these past several months on more trivial pursuits.

I would salute you, but my capacity for sarcasm is all but exhausted. Truly, mundane, you have been living up to your title, haven't you? I haven't even gotten started on your astonishing lack of interest in acquiring what should have been your favorite summer reading material. That book came out how many months ago now? And yet you have done nothing. Is trying my patience the only form of entertainment your pitiful mind can devise?

I do not accept your excuse that this is "compensation" for the fact that certain dialogue responses are no longer available in your "game." How many times must I say "you do not want to make it onto my list" before the message sinks in?

There is the remaining grievance regarding your appalling lack of progress in obtaining a certain pair of daggers, but I feel I've rather made my point. Do not disappoint me again.

[As for his appearance here and now, that is due to some part of him that still believes he has to try. However, that does not mean he is not entitled to feel frustrated and annoyed over how they parted ways. Being knocked out and watching yourself die will do that to a person.]

Those were calculated risks, and I did see to it that my champions were justly rewarded. All of my transactions were mutually beneficial. Why else would they keep coming back for more?

As for that incident, I was entirely justified in my frustration. The tavern simply happened to be in the way.

Justifiable frustration. As I said. One could hardly expect me to have been pleased at how thoroughly your father unraveled my work. It was hardly that impressive a show of destructive force besides— if anything, I should remarkable restraint in limiting my anger to that tavern. A human two-year-old wouldn't have had that sort of sense.

Where were its horns? Why did it have that thing on its tail? The contraption attached to it? The saddle made sense at least, but...

We were hoping to find a black dragon, possibly like my friend here. He's a Night Fury and there's a chance the one we're looking for could mean Toothless isn't the last of his kind.

[He's watching the other dragon closely out of the corner of his eye, and while he is fully aware of the interest and the reasons for it, some small part of him may just be more interested in seeing how long it takes the human to figure it out than coming clean.]

A Night Fury? I'm afraid I'm unfamiliar. You said your friend's name is Toothless?

[It's entirely possible that he's giving himself away by addressing Toothless almost exclusively, but he doesn't much care.]

[ With Hiccup entirely unsuspecting of shapeshifters, having never dealt with anything weirder than a Changewing before, he wonders if Wrathion is just sort of. Odd. Like, really odd, with that smile. Toothless gives him a gummy grin in return, which marginally relaxes his rider. ]

Berk. It's a small island in a northern archipelago, nobody's ever really heard of it if they don't come from there first. The Night Furies are all gone, except for him. We've been looking for five years for another, but we've had no luck.

Have you seen any dragons like him around here, Wrathion?

[Can Toothless not speak or is he just shy? The latter is unlikely, and the former— well, he could simply be allowing Hiccup to speak in the interests of continuing the game, assuming he'd picked up on it. There is also the very real chance that Toothless can't speak Common or Orcish but can speak Draconic or... some other dialect? Would it matter with whatever translation spell this place has?]

I have seen precious few black dragons in my time and none who resemble Toothless. I am sorry.

[And he is, for once. How unfortunate that neither Hiccup nor Toothless are likely to understand the significance of that.]

Berk is not on Azeroth, is it? Near Northrend?

[The answer has to be no to both, but Wrathion is determined to get more information out of Toothless's human counterpart. It's hardly fair if Hiccup is the only one asking questions.]
