I'm not so sure I like to think of it as 'being used'. I prefer 'going out,' I think, it sounds a lot freeer, if that makes sense.

I'm not saying there's anything altogether wrong with impulsiveness, but there's always the trouble of having to do the research you skip now later. It always turns out to be a hassle when you put it off until the last minute, I've done it often enough to know.
