On his mun's plans to app him
Mun,
As much as I appreciate the thought, are you sure this is wise? It's been several years.
I suppose I should be thankful that it's not Anatole with its cannibalistic elves, but a city where things can be accomplished with the power of your mind? Where you can just will things into existence? Are you sure that's--
Wait. They have a place called The Fibonacci Museum? The Library is more then one building?
[A long pause as he contemplates what that could mean. ]
I suppose I could take a look.

'See, Alexis? You're not even technically leaving New York City. It's not that bad...'
no subject
I suppose that's her way of trying to make it better.

[Which, now that he thinks about it, makes it so much cooler then those Vegas tricks he can do.]

[Conjuring things out of thin air? Sounds like magic to her.]

Or I've suffered from a psychotic break.
[And considering his mom's history of mental illness...]

Though you would have others there with you. There must be some way to tell if it is or it isn't a dream or psychotic break.
no subject
For instance, one happens to be Death.
no subject
That brings up another point. Instead of a psychotic break if could be that you're dead and experiencing some sort of afterlife.
no subject
True. Although I don't remember dying.
no subject
Wait, the Behavioral Analysis Unit? Is that... profilers?
[Aaaand now they're going to talk about your job, Reid.]
no subject
It is, yes.
[He doesn't mind that, actually.]
no subject
Don't let my dad find out. He'll want to question you.
He's a mystery writer and he basically jumps on anyone in law enforcement that he thinks has a cool job in order to get inspiration for his books.

Can't tell him that though. He thinks he's some kind of combo of Sherlock Holmes and James Bond.

Sounds kind of marginally legal, I know, but he signed so many release forms that the NYPD probably owns him at this point. At first he wasn't supposed to even get out of the car when they were arresting perps but, yeah, my dad has trouble with rules.

[Like his whole team, but he wasn't saying that.]
no subject
[Yes, she's thinking of you, Kate Beckett.]
