Aside from finding the more solitary portions of my work to be relaxing in and of themselves, I practice the flute for fifteen minutes each day, keep the company of a dog, sample various kinds of tea, play chess, and read fiction. [Some of which is the Steel Samurai tie-in comic, shhh.]

I'm not entirely certain of her full heritage, though she closely resembles a border collie. It was by her efforts that we met in the first place.

As for whether she's alive, at the canon point from which my typist typically plays her she yet lives, but by your time my typist assumes that she's passed away. That being said, by the time she does die, I'll have grown closer to particular fellow human beings sufficiently for me to weather the blow.

I don't have a pet myself, but it would be nice to have one. I just don't think I'd be able to give it proper care with how busy I've been.

A pet is far less of a burden than you might assume, particularly the smaller sorts. After all, I do manage to care for Pess despite my own schedule, despite the fact that she is sufficiently large and active to require regular walking and has a sufficiently long coat to require grooming.

She easily accepts me as the dominant force in the apartment. [Read, she reacts to glares with, "Oh, you're alpha? OK!"] While active, she is less so than any purebred border collie I know of. Indeed, she would rather cuddle than run, and will press herself against anyone she perceives as being sad.

Aw! She sounds like a cutie! Maybe I should get a dog to cuddle with like that.

Perhaps. I'm hardly in a position to suggest what sort of pet would best suit you, however.
