Guess where I'm apping him. Canon is In Nomine (Steve Jackson Games)
This sort of foolishness is EXACTLY the reason that I need to introduce Nybbas' neck to the edge of my blade instead of, for example, being made into a pony for your amusement and sent to some sort of dimensional prison out in the Marches, Mundane.
[You would think it's in the Marches, huh? At least it seems pretty solidly on Blandine's side of them.]
Irrelevant. I have a war to direct. My own safety is not as important as prosecuting it. I swore an oath, Mundane. I will not suffer evil to live.
[There's plenty of Smite to go round there. Lucifer is there.]
No, an Ethereal that's one of Nybbas' attempts to make him look stylish and the Host look like reactionary puppets of an uncaring God is there. Hardly satisfying prey.
[I'll be fun, Laurence.]
Don't you have duties to attend to as well?

I thought as much.

I squee'd so much seeing this one - nowhere near enough IN love. Excuse lack of icons.
Or do you remember nothing I taught you, Laurence?
[Uriel keeps his tone calm, masking his surprise. He wasn't expecting the mun to drag him out of the dust, and hardly expected to see Laurence in a place like this.]
I don't have enough icons either. DAMN YOU SMIF!
[And he's down on one knee, head bowed, for a beat; then back up and smiling]
Oh, I've run across him before - he's one of the Media's more irritating subversions of our own history. I will meet the false Liar in time. I just fear I've greater good deeds to do.
How long have you been back? Do you know of that Prince and his Word? I've been trying to sponsor Orc to fight him directly, but...
Icons are hard for IN, sadly.
I take it he will not prove much of a difficulty, then? A vile being attempting to mimic Celestials is certainly problematic.
Not long. I fear there is much I need to be updated on. Including this… Prince of the 'Media'.
Re: Icons are hard for IN, sadly.
Nybbas is a dangerous foe. One of the most, for all that he is not a direct combatant. He invented an infernal device called a "television" that is one of the most effective ways of disseminating propaganda in the entire war and is an ally of Beleth, Andrealphus and Haagenti - were you around when Haagenti was granted the word of Gluttony?

[A look of disgust comes into Uriel's face at that.
As Laurence continues to explain about the new princes, his expression grows more concerned.]
He does sound a concerning threat, and one that may be hard to combat. I cannot say 'Haagenti' is familiar to me.
… From your report, it would seem Hell's Princes have been increasing in number. That is a cause for concern.

We have had some victories. Mammon is a shadow of what he was. Still, it's frustrating.

That is reassuring, at least.
[Uriel paused, considering his next question.]
…Am I correct in understanding that you were raised to the rank of Archangel when I left?

[*nods* in_nomine_ludi of honored memory. I played as Marcus, an Impudite of Death that the Lord Commander may or may not have heard of, and Carr, Alaemon's "Angel" of Missing Puzzle Pieces — only Alaemon had redeemed, so Carr had gone to work for the Game.]

...I feel that for the record, Andrealphus does not tempt me. No matter how much my mundane may snicker at it.
[A friend of mine introduced me to In Nomine Ludi! Sadly, my Haagenti never got apped.]
