Lovecraftian OC practice for ExitVoid

While I- appreciate the attention- r-really, I really do, I'm not sure if- if I can handle something so so- so very- [Licks his lip, a nervous sigh escaping through teeth as he tugs at his collar.]

-Dreary. Not that I'm not used to that sort of thing. I am- I mean, anyone would be used to dreary in my line of work, the people- the families, though maybe it's not so terrible, I do like holding hands with them as they grieve- not that I feel, happy they are grieving mind you I just- just-

No I- Simply should not be in a place like that! [Puts his hands up, arms close to his sides.] Really! I- I don't know what I'll do with all those- those.. haahh- Dead bodies everywhere... Do they just lay around or- I hope not, my goodness gracious...

[This guy's pretty twitchy, isn't he? Peony grins at him slyly.]

You hope they don't just lay around? Sounds like an exciting place.

[Wow rude, his smile is perfectly welcoming. Ashley is just paranoid! It's like he can't even quite finish a sentence. Timid people are just so cute.]

Better talking to you than eating your brains, I'd think.

[Guess who reads cheesy zombie books? Peony does.]
deathscore: Calling him "my Jade" IS pretty damn gay (Well when you put it THAT way)

[personal profile] deathscore 2014-01-24 10:08 am (UTC)(link)
[That's certainly not the reaction he expected. Peony was kind of hoping for a little panic he could have a laugh at - before eventually helping him calm down, of course.]

Didn't you know? Dead men walking need to feed on living humans to keep in shape. It's not like they make their own new cells, anymore.

[He hasn't quite given up yet.]

not lovecraft but in his first canon all his gods are lovecraftian ha ha ha,,,

[personal profile] aesculapianavowal 2014-01-24 09:54 am (UTC)(link)
... I would assume that dead bodies would just lay around and do nothing, since they're... well. Very dead.

But in games, you never know, I guess.

Anyway, do dead bodies just unnerve you, or is it something else? You certainly don't have to tell me if it makes you uncomfortable, but I'm a bit curious.
aesculapianavowal: (portrait :: διασκέδαση)

Woooo all of the gods in his canon used pseudonyms so he just flat out knows jack shit oops

[personal profile] aesculapianavowal 2014-01-24 10:04 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, you mean like people burying them or something? I'd assume there's one or two moral souls there to handle the corpses, in some way or another... If it's not already handled by the game.

And, I like to think there's levels of meta here. The muns and the games, then us. I'd like to believe whatever we go through in the games that muns put us though is real enough to us, right? So we don't really have to, well... Worry about our state of reality? [ at least not in comparison to muns and games ]

A mortician? [ think hippo think ] ... So you're someone who makes bodies look nice after they've died? Or the apprentice of one?

[ At home, death is pretty uncommon; or at least, being prettified is uncommon, so Hippocrates is more relying on what he remembers from books rather than actual, real life experiences... ]

Good God, man, get a hold of yourself. You're going to fall to pieces the second you get there if you're like this at just the thought of being there.

Oh well that too of course, but don't be silly! That comes with the territory!

But you'd have the support of the other muses as well for strength and support. Humans typically flock together in times of crisis and in the face of alien threats and things work out fine, at least in the short term.

Dude, you're goin' someplace with zombies? That's pretty... [Artemis pause, cocking his head to the side thoughtfully] Actually, that'd probably suck, good luck with that though, bro.
newmoononmonday: (Are they thinking of you or of me?)

[personal profile] newmoononmonday 2014-01-24 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
It's called slang. [he shrugs, no big deal, bro, it's all cool] But yeah, usually when places got dead bodies scattered around, they end bein' zombies. S'what my mun says, anyway. But I guess plain ol' dead bodies would be pretty bad too, cuz'a diseases an' stuff, right? Maybe you oughtta bring a flamethrower along too, just in case.
