Brilliant observation, John. Gotten rusty while I've been away have you? Of course, you weren't all that great to begin with, always seeing but forgetting to observe.
[Sherlock, still is bad at this.]
{{OOC: Feel free to punch him, he deserves it :/}}
It's not like John had expected him to change but it has been two years and he'd forgotten just how blunt Sherlock was, among many other things. John is going to clench his fists and move towards Sherlock before taking a few deep breaths to stop himself. He had promised Mary he would...stay calm.
No promises though. He grits his teeth and his words come out a little forced and sarcastic.]
Good to see you haven't changed, Sherlock.
I have a Mycroft as well - the two of them are arguing in my head now ...
As far as I can tell you're the same old Sherlock.
[Yes the same infuriating, know-it-all, brilliant Sherlock. But yes as far as he can tell is apt though he has said sorry a lot to him. Not something the Sherlock of two years ago would have done. But then again back then he hadn't disappeared for two years letting John think he was dead
...I knew you weren't going to take this well. [It's the reason she made herself scarce around Baker Street after the initial mourning period. She could keep a secret, but she hated being around John and Mrs. Hudson and not being able to allay their grief.]
You're right. You've had a worse go of it. But just because I knew he was alive after the hospital doesn't mean he kept in touch. It wasn't like he was sending me "Wish you were here" postcards. The minute he left London, he could've been dead and I wouldn't have known.
[Although saying that Mrs Hudson and Lestrade had been pretty happy to see him when he came back. They didn't hold on to any anger they might of had for long. Even Mary likes him. He quietens down a little as Molly continues to talk and when she's done he sighs, nodding his head]
Sorry Molly I know. I'm just...frustrated with him. [He does laugh a little at that] I guess that means everything is back to normal.
I'm surprised you don't know I'm alive. He must have kept it to himself; though I can't blame him, considering his brother would be extremely displeased.
[ she sobers. ]
Someone died on that rooftop. But it wasn't Sherlock Holmes.
Yeah, he seems to be keeping a lot to himself recently.
[He pauses at that last comment, eyes on her for a moment before looking around. He raises a brow slightly before speaking up again, louder this time.]
If he's dead then why have I seen him around this place? ...Right. I forgot that could happen around here.
[He sighs a little before taking a few deep breaths. Calm, John. Calm.]
...But I guess if I can forgive you for not telling me you were alive for two years I can forgive you for that too. Forgetting it is a different matter.
