Mou Hitori no Watashi looked after me and friends countless times. Even in his past life, he was looking after others and protecting them. He was a Pharaoh then, sort of like a king. He looked after his kingdom the best he could before he... sacrificed himself to stop a dark god from taking over the world. That's how he was trapped inside of the Millennium Puzzle for five thousand years.

[Guess both of them have seen their share of self-sacrificing leaders in their time.]

... and then that's how you met him.

[They certainly have, although Lelouch made his grand stand and self sacrifice much more grandstanding them most others.]

...For a time, actually, he thought he was me. That he and I were the same person, and when someone did wrong against me or one of my other friends, he would step in to... 'punish' them.

In a way, I guess he did sort of start off like Ryou-chan's Spirit. The only difference is that he, Mou Hitori no Watashi, he learned from his mistakes and relearned his compassion. Ryou-chan wasn't so lucky, I guess.

I've never actually had the honor of meeting the spirit, even if Lelouch and Ryou warned me about him.

[Which they kind of had to, considering his status as Lelouch's Knight and all.]

I've been told he's rather violent though and is more likely to try and skewer me first then anything else.

[Which he hopes never happens, because with the 'live on' geass, he might be forced to take drastic action - against his will.]

...In our world, he did try to destroy us for his own gains, mainly taking the Millennium Puzzle for himself. He wanted to gather all seven of the Items so that he could release a dark god that Mou Hitori no Watashi had sealed away with his death. I don't know if it's the same for your world, but that's how I remember him.

He's a patient and scheming type, from what I remember about him. He tried to our seal away our souls, first inside of figurines, the second time inside of our favorite Duel Monster's cards. He also took over Ryou-chan's body for an entire month to build a diorama of Ancient Egypt so that he could have a final battle with Mou Hitori no Watashi.

Though, between all of those events, there were several months, at least a year or two all together, where he was quiet. It's like we just forgot about him for a time while there was something bigger going on at the time.

... Ryou-san hasn't mentioned that to me, but... well, I'm not privy to all her secrets. I know enough so that I can protect Lelouch, and her, if need be.

[He wonders if Lelouch knows any of this - about trying to take the puzzle for himself. Or what Lelouch actually does know about Ryou's spirit. He'll have to ask.]

She does like to keep to herself sometimes. I think she just got used to doing so because the Spirit unconsciously kept her so isolated from others, she didn't want anyone else to be hurt because of her.

The first time we defeated him in a game, she looked so happy and relieved. The time that we had thought he was gone for good, she opened up so much; she smiled more and she talked a lot more, especially when she was excited. She really is a sweet and energetic person once you get her past her walls.

Yes, she did seem that way to me.

[That might explain how she fell in with Lelouch then - he wouldn't have let something like that stop him, if he could think of a use for her. Or perhaps she had been a frightened young girl who reminded him of Nunnally and that's why he took her in. He had never pressed for details - Lelouch had his reasons, of that Suzaku was sure.]

I hope she stays on that path, in both of our worlds. She's been through a lot, from what she's told me. I'd like for her to be happy, in the end. [She wishes that for everyone, though, to be as happy as they can be.]

Everyone deserves to be happy, I think. To be around who or what makes them feel happy.

Well, considering the things that are happening to her where I'm from - I would like to think she's happy. She seems to be.

[God, Yuugi, why are you so cute?]

That sounds nice, I wish everyone thought like that.

Really? What's happening to her in your world? [She doesn't know much of what happened to Ryou after the Ceremonial Duel. She does hope that the other is getting on well in her life, considering what had happened as long as she had known the girl.]

Are you happy where you are, Suzaku-san?

I... well... it's probably something she should tell you, Yuugi-san. It is a bit personal, after all.

[There's a bit of a pause as he contemplates.]

I'm not entirely sure. There's a lot of things I'd change if I could, things I would do differently if I was able, but... we did the things we set out to do. I don't know if 'happy' is the exact word, maybe content.

...All right. I'll ask her about it the next time I see her. [And then she can squee and aww at Ryou's son's baby pictures, because babies, man.]

Do you miss them, your friends?

I miss the ones that are lost to me, yes.

[Like Euphemia. He knows what happened now and he... he doesn't blame Lelouch anymore, not really, but it still hurts. Know that he failed her, as her Knight and as her... whatever he had been.]

[He seems so heartbroken and sad, she can't help but feel for him. He must've been through a lot in his lifetime. She didn't know if there was a way to make it up to him, but she'd at least try to be understanding.]

...I'm sorry for your loss.

[He gives her a small smile and a shake of his head.]

Don't be... it was a over a year ago and you didn't know. Besides, her dream is alive, so she's still with me in a way.

[Aww... Suzaku.... That's so sad, yet so sweet. Don't be sad, friend Suzaku.]

Then, I hope that her dream keeps coming true and, if you have any too, that they come true as well.

[Oh, Yuugi, why are you so nice? Honestly.]

To be honest, I'm not sure I have any. Just duty.

[Because she's a little girl with a big heart. Honestly, how she stays so nice to everyone is a mystery in of itself. She knows when to put her foot down if someone is mistreating someone else, but yeah, most of the time, she will be nice to people.]

Do you have something that you would fight for? Something that... [Well, no, he probably didn't, just from what he's just said.]

Lelouch, Nunnally and the dream that Euphie and so many others died for.

[She goes quiet for a moment, thinking it over. He does have something that he's willing to fight for. Maybe it's the closest thing he has that makes him happy?]

I stand with my friends. I always try to be there when they need me and try to help the best I can. I won't stand for bullying either, since I know what it's like to be on the receiving of that.

You are a much more noble person then I will ever be, Yuugi-san.

Don't say things like that. I think you're quite a noble person, Suzaku-san.

[It's gently, his tone, but sad as well. Because it's true - she doesn't know the things he has said and done. He more then deserved his title of the Great Betrayer and he knew it.]

[Dude, didn't we already discuss this? Don't be sad, friend Suzaku. Is hugging even possible in this... space? Because she would so do that right now.]

...You've been hurting for a while, haven't you?
