Okay, so, first, obviously, thank you for creating me. And for breaking me out this morning even though you're worried about whether or not your mother will approve of the turkey. (Who really makes a backup turkey? Really?)

But I have to say, I don't really know what I'm doing. I still haven't entirely learned the ins and outs of living in Chicago yet. It's only been eight months! Plus you gave my brother an icon, so I can only assume that means he's going to be around to give his two cents, and people tend to be afraid of him. So, please don't be upset if this doesn't go well at first.

I am kinda looking forward to meeting all the people, though. I mean, there are superheroes and aliens and all that? How exciting is that? So this'll be fun. Just probably a bit awkward and crazy.

Nope.

It's not perfect but we're trying.

That... is a very wise way to think, I believe.

I've been told I'm a shameless optimist. Drives people nuts.

As a pragmatist, I'm a fraction jealous of people with such positive outlooks.

I've always been that way. Balances out Andrew - my brother. He's the cynic.

[He thinks for a moment.]

It's not so clear cut with my siblings... But then, I am one of seventeen.

...Wow. Really?

Uhm. Half-siblings.

[Oh, he's going pink. Wonderful.]

Father... Was a very passionate man.

Um...yeah.

[Tessanne was an accident, so she has no concept of a large family.]

Are you still in touch with all your siblings?

I am. When we were very young, we used to meet altogether a few times a year. These days we're more likely to meet two or three a time, but we try to be together at least once. I went to school with a few of them as well.

[tessanne]

I've always been close to my brother, but this is the first time we've spent a lot of time together since I was young. There's a pretty big age difference between us and he was away with the Marines for a long time.

[giantsofty]

I know of that too, the age difference and the distance. Brother Aharon is almost eight years my elder and there are many between him and I.

But it is pleasant to know, isn't it, that there are people with whom your bonds transcend choice? I say to cherish every moment. As you say, you will not stay with him forever.

[He also doesn't know what Marines are, but he'll save the question for later.]

Yeah, I don't know what I'd do without him. Especially right now. He's like one of the only people I know in Chicago, and the only one I feel comfortable with.

So what are you going to do next?

I remain undecided. Or, more accurately, I remain uninformed. Where I wish to go is obvious. Wherever I will be of most help.

Discerning where that is and what I will do when I get there is the difficult part.

Well, I'd say stay out of those games. From what I'm hearing, they all involve like, zombies and crazy people.

...that sort of place sounds like where I would be of help, honestly.

Um. Well then. Possibly one of those things? I don't know what they are but people talk about them a lot.

[giantsofty]

Perhaps eventually. But making the selection is the difficult part, especially as ultimately the choice is out of my hands, isn't it?

I dunno. Like I asked for something the other day and I got it.

[giantsofty]

Really? Might I ask what?

There was somebody I wanted to talk to again, and he actually replied to me.

[And then other stuff happened, but Tessanne is not discussing that part of it.]

Ah, but that is not a matter that was strictly in either your or your mundane's control. A direct request to them will likely not be answered unless it already follows their own wishes.
