[After being nudged out into the open, this strange creature is a little reluctant to move from her mun's side. So many strange things happened right bfore appearing here.

Whining softly, Nina paces a circle and tries to hunker down out of sight.]

[Well that's a strange creature. He's never seen something like that before. Kind of reminds him of uh... Some kind of dog?

Maybe it's a lion-dog, or something! Hmmmmhmm... But there's just something about her that makes him saddened. He tries to act cheerful as he can, hunkering down onto his knees and giving her a smile.]

Hi there.

[Staring at him curiously, she tilts her head when he speaks.]

Hi...there.

[The voice seems a bit...distorted, but definitely female.]

[moelin]

[Whoa.

She spoke! Bolin's eyes widen, and he gives her a second look as if he had to make sure he heard correctly. He does get over it -- mostly -- and leans forward, tilting his head back. ]

Whoa... What are you?

[fusedtothecore]

[That's something she can't answer, only panting softly and watching him quietly. Then she shifts to nudge him slowly with her nose.]

[moelin]

[He shifts to sit down properly, giving her a gentle scratch on her head. She kind of reminds him of Naga.]

That's alright. Do you have a name or anything?

[fusedtothecore]

[Ducking her head to accept the scratches, she seems to need a moment to answer.]

Ni...na.

[moelin]

Nina? [She's really nice and friendly, but she still seems... off. Bolin won't address it in case it scares her off, but he's aware there is something. He continues to give her affectionate pets and scratches, introducing himself.]

I'm Bolin, and it's nice to meet you! [Then he brings his free hand up to his chin, giving a couple of scratches.]

You know, you're the first talking animal I've seen and talked to! Well... outside of my dreams, I mean.

Bo...lin.

[There's a slight twitch of her tail. His voice is nice and he's gentle, so she listen to him, never once blinking or looking away.]

Bolin...good dreams?

[moelin]

[The not-blinking thing's also a lil' creepy, but again! He can deal. She's pretty nice and she's listening to him.]

Well, most of them are! Especially the ones related to stuff like that. Though a lot of them are kind of weird, but I guess that's how dreams should go, right?

[fusedtothecore]

[Maybe that's how dreams should go? Surprisingly, she ducks her head as though seriously considering that question.]

[moelin]

Hm?

[He feels her head lower under his hand, looking curious as to why she did.]

What's up?

[fusedtothecore]

Weird dreams...are bad?

[moelin]

Hmm... sometimes! But only if there's uh... you know, bad things happening in them.

If they're kind of weird but nothing bad's happening, then they're y'know... the good kind of weird.

[fusedtothecore]

[Good weird. Maybe that makes sense. She lifts her head again.]

[moelin]

[It makes enough sense to him! Whenever she lifts her head again his hand meets it and resumes the affection he was giving her.]

So, you must have dreams, right?

[fusedtothecore]

[More thinking needed here. Her head lowers a bit and cocks. Then a slow nod.]

[moelin]

I figure you've had some weird ones too?

[fusedtothecore]

[No answer forthcoming for that one. Only more quiet staring.]

[moelin]

Oh um! That's alright if you don't know or something, uh. I know sometimes I just forget my dreams real quick after I wake up. O-or if you do have them that's not a problem either, like I said before!

[fusedtothecore]

[Listening to him quietly, she seems unaware that he may have thought that he made her uncomfortable.]

[moelin]

[Ahh, he'll get over it. He just smiles and pets her, trying to waft the slight wave of awkward in the air.]

[fusedtothecore]

[Despite there being little change in her posture or expression, Nina seems content for the time being.]

[moelin]

[That's good! That's real good. After a few more moments of silence, he thinks of something.]

Hey Nina? You want to meet my best friend? You just gotta promise me you won't try to hurt him, okay?

[fusedtothecore]

Promise...no hurting.

[Not that it would have been an issue. Nina was always loving and so was her dog.]

[moelin]

Great!

[His grin gets so big, and he moves his hands back to whistle a bit. Out from the side darts a maroon blur, climbing right up onto his shoulders. Bolin gives him a small pet before picking up from his shoulders and holding him out a hair, facing the silly Fire Ferret towards Nina. Pabu responds by giving a curious chitter at Nina.]

Pabu, this is Nina! She's a new friend of ours.
