We do not need 'Metal piggy-backing over from Connor's world', so you just stop right there. And stop watching Skynet Research videos and plotting. They give me the creeps, and so does half of your thought process. It's bad enough that eye-bot thing is here.
How about your focus on some kind of happy-storyline. Wouldn't that be a twist?

I don't know exactly. Some kind of floating round robot ball. Probally of death, I mean aren't they usually?
no subject
Just once I wouldn't mind if they sent back something that wasn't a killing machine. We could always use a floating round robot ball who dispenses drinks and makes milkshakes or something.
no subject
You should remember that, for the future. Then send yourself back a robot butler. Or a robot Batman.
no subject
Yeah thought about that actually, but turns out someone already invented one of those five years ago, or well I guess three years from now depending on where you are coming from. Think they call it a Roomba.
no subject
Probably neither of those dates, unless we get this Roomba thing in 2030, or something.
no subject
Want to bet that Skynet is actually run by a Roomba? I mean the Turk was just a piece of junk to start but the tech just seems to be constantly evolving faster than we can keep up.
no subject
Seems like it'd be easier to break, if it were. Then again, I've never seena Roomba before.
What's the Turk?
no subject
Not sure how easy it would be to break but outrunning them would be a hell of a lot easier.
That...it's a long story. It's just another example of human ingenuity screwing over mankind.

Maybe it won't always follow you.

If you got that turkey I can make a few sandwiches if you'd like. Mom should be back in a bit with Cameron and I'm pretty sure she'd want to meet you...may wanna be unarmed though when they show up.
no subject
[Allison is a bit taken aback at the mention of Cameron. Of course.]
They sent her back?
no subject
[He flashed a small smile and began to grab a loaf of bread and some fixings from the fridge.]
Yeah, thought you were her at first but she's still out helping mom. She showed up a few weeks ago at my school, saved my life and has been with us since then. Know it drives mom sort of nuts having Metal around the house, but I don't mind.
Granted she's no Uncle Bob but she packs a nasty punch and I know she will keep us safe.
no subject
Uncle Bob's...the one who saved your mom?
no subject
Please don't tell mom though. I know she is still reeling from us having to leave Charley and last thing she needs is to hear me complaining again.
no subject
I won't tell her.
no subject
I've got Cameron but it still isn't the same. Last person I could actually open up to was Charley but even then it's not like I could tell him about the future and stuff...
no subject
It would suck. Not being able to talk about it.
no subject
We did, or do?
Who are you, to me I mean? I don't even know anything about you really, but when I am close to you I just...I just feel like I am not alone.
no subject
We're close. In the future. You trust me. I mean...that's a silly thing to say, anybody could just say that...
no subject
I trust you now, not sure why exactly but I do...but what you said earlier, bout how being compared to my mom made thing weird or was it creepy weird?
Just wanted to know who you are to me...and why my gut is telling me to put my faith in you?
no subject
I guess that we were together, sort of? I mean, you couldn't really call it dating. There's not really a milk-shake, movies type of thing in the future?
no subject
Sorry for prying. I know i'm not him, the other John or whatever, just wanted to know that it isn't all hopeless...
Even with all the bad stuff, were we happy? I mean...never mind.
no subject
[She really hopes, because sometimes she doubts that she made him all that happy.]
no subject
Look I figure we got maybe a few hours before they get home so we can sit here and try to not to over think stuff or we can sneak out and actually have some fun.
I know i'm not him, but since he couldn't take you out for a milk shake and movie then I guess it's up to me...so what do you say, are you up for an hour or two without having to worry about anything more then having to decide on what kind of snacks to eat at the cinema?
no subject
Sure. We can do that. You won't get in too much trouble?
no subject
[He chuckled as he quickly started to put away the food stuff and nodded toward the living room.]
I may tick her off but i'm not stupid, I know the rules. Not sure if you have a gun but you can grab one from the stash in there. If you can grab one for me too, I'll finish cleaning up in here.
no subject
Need help?
no subject
All done here...you are uh, quick.
[John blushed again as embarrassment kicked in. It was one thing to be told that he was some destined hero all his life, but to meet someone who apparently knew him very well...it was a little daunting. All he wanted to do was to live up to the image of the man he was supposed to be, but the young man couldn't even picture what his future self would be like.]
Sorry. I think we are all good here. There is a dollar theater a couple blocks away and I think they may still be showing the cartoon Simpson's movie. But we can see something else though if you want.
no subject
Anything is fine. The movies we get in the bunkers aren't...great. The last thing we got was some weird filmstrip about dating from the 40s.
no subject
I remember watching an episode or two of the simpsons back when I was at the Voight's place. Wasn't great, but it made me laugh a little. Know I can't make up for a lifetime of bad stuff, but if I can just give you an hour of two filled with a little laughter and some unhealthy but tasty junk food...
no subject
Back home, we didn't have popcorn, but we had these tins of carbohydrate candy? It wasn't too bad, really. Old, but not really gross.
no subject
Well tonight we are getting a jumbo tub of buttery popcorn, all the boxes of candy you want, and after the flick we can swing by the diner near here and order whatever you want.
[The young man chuckled as he held the door open for her.]
Nothing personal but this date is going to be the best you've ever had! Figure the next time you see him, or well me, you can let him know that his younger self did it up right...milkshakes and all!
no subject
Think they'll have root beer? [What? She likes it.]
no subject
Yeah they should have some on tap there, and if not I know the diner has it. Heck, the waitress there makes a pretty good root beer float too.
no subject
That, I've never had.
no subject
[He stood there for a moment and smiled as he offered an outstretched hand. Pushing aside all thoughts of strange temporal mechanics and predestined savior crap, John let all the worry and burdens go..if only for a few hours, and focused on trying to make her happy. Because no matter what time they came from, John Connor would do whatever it took to take care of the people he held dear.]
Ready to go?
no subject
Ready. [ Taking his hand, after a moment. Why not?]
