Why have you brought me to another place like this? My work is vital, I cannot waste time playing in your foolish games, I am no meager clown or coin tossing deviant or slurry feline to be toyed with. Nora needs my help, and I find it unlikely that anywhere on here will be able to assist in that responsibility.

When you finally play this experience of the Batman's earlier misgivings in the time of festivities, do not expect me to be there. The season is pleasant only for the biting cold beyond your warm houses and shelters of corruption. Arkham cannot hold such a gifted mind like mine, what makes you assume either Gotham or this realm will do the same?

Hell is where I have been, and it is a cold, unforgiving place. With the right motivations you could defeat the Batman, but your current condition will forever vex you of that. Of course to me, he and Gotham and mere irritants, dealt with only when it serves me to.

[Nora is that small spark of humanity he's mostly had to give up to being the person he is now, and when she's here that part of him softens out somewhat. It's hard to say sometimes but he still loves her. He wouldn't have done what he has done otherwise.]

[There is some hesitation on Victor's face, whilst he trusts Nora he doesn't want to let the risk out some form of knowledge where his many labs are hidden from the judging eyes of Gotham. But he reasons she can keep such things a secret.]

The old pier has a abandoned warehouse on the south side which I use for some of my experiments. If you wish I have a entrance palm coded to me alone, but I can adapt it to allow yourself access whenever you wish. I shall draw you a suitable route there. I trust you to be careful with such information. [The last part comes out a little more like an order than a request, but Victor prides himself in his secrets.]

[Victor naturally trusts Nora, and what little desire remains in his cold heart wishes to keep her safe, but he is also thinking of his own security and the meddlesome nature of the police and the forces of the Batman, not to mention the more dull witted criminals of Gotham like the clown or Cobblepott. Regardless, he trusts her with the little information he provides.]

[The truth is that it's been so long since he's expressed such feelings, the cold reality of life has stripped him of that. But she means something to him and he does need her, even if he isn't likely to admit it so easily. Her soft warm hand in his cold metal covered one causes the glimmer of a smile on his face.]

Of course, we can head over to the facility in question. It is designed to keep me comfortable so you may prefer additional clothing.

[Once again the ghost of a smile wavers, perhaps a little longer, on his face. There is also the slightest of squeezes of her soft hand from his, evidently Freeze knows not to use too much of his immense strength on her via his suit. His eyes linger on the heat of her lips atop the helmet before glancing back at her. When he speaks however, it is more logical.]

Yes. I require cool temperatures to work effectively. My suit provides me with the tolerant range but I prefer to keep my labs as cold as I can afford to. However, I can certainly raise the temperature enough for you to feel comfortable, Nora.

[His eyes are covered by the goggles which red glare takes some of the humanity away, but the waver of a smile remains. He almost seems to allow her to slip comfortably against him. The suit does right now make him feel isolated, and inwardly it distresses him that such a device which has allowed him to survive will deny him the closeness he has inwardly longed for, but now wonders if he can recreate any more.]

At that temperature I can survive without my suit, but I may feel uncomfortable for extended periods. I would... like to join you, however.

[Victor doesn't seem to mind holding her hand, leading her carefully down to a large armoured truck, a way by which he moves through the city at times.] In here, my lab is not far away.

[Victor has spent a long part of his life since losing Nora having to be intimidating, both as a result of the accident and since as a criminal for his research purposes. He's never had much desire to dominate more than the areas he requires, but nevertheless most know not to cross him and his work. Even in the confines of the truck he looms at the driver's seat, offering a hand and the whispers of a smile to help her inside before he activates the engine and sets off into the cold night towards the labs he keeps at the pier.]

[Victor would never purposely hurt Nora, and if he ever expresses anger it is not at directly. Emotions when they come are rare but often the extreme. Despite her words though, he nods and even manages a slight smile as he comes to just within step of her.]

We... shall approach things rationally. Once I was prone to being blinded by a need to do everything myself and in haste. But your presence here shows me that I can cure her. We shall simply remain cautious at all times, yes? Now, you will be wanting somewhere to eat and rest.

My suit is capable of allowing me to maintain my work for long periods, but even I require sleep for set periods. I sleep within here, follow me...

[He leads her to a side room where a stark single bed sits. The room is slightly colder than the rest which is made clear why when Victor moves to a hollowed out display case. Activating a set of buttons on his suit it hisses and opens, Victor letting out a slight noise of discomfort once he is out of his protective suit. He is thin and whitely coloured, dressed only in a set of shorts, though his eyes still retain their spark of intelligence.] I trust my physical appearance does not unsettle you, Nora?

[Despite the coldness of the place there is a sort of beauty to it if you look in the right way. Victor is quite scientifically minded, yet if Nora would glance in certain places she might see ice sculptures modeled after her. When he moves towards her it is a little unsteady but he manages. The warmth of her hand on his cheek is comforting, the kind of heat she produces not too unsettling to his skin.]

So long as I remain in the warehourse complex I should remain constant, but yes, there is some discomfort. I... I am concerned whether consistant bodily contact with my natural flesh might lower your own body temperature to uncomfortable levels. Even if holding you like this is... pleasant... to me.

[She slowly withdraws her hand from his cheek when she mentions discomfort, and looks away, feeling intensely worried. Did she hurt him too badly?....When he mentions his concerns about her, she looks up at him and shakes her head.]

No, I am fine. Since the accident extreme warmth has become painful but your natural body heat is not excessively so. [Hesitantly he places his hands on her waist and carefully and a little awkwardly, as if remembering how to swim after so long, leans in to kiss her lips.]

[The moment that they kiss deeply, Victor feels an internal wave of emotions from within, memories of kinder, happier days with he and Nora. A trail of happy tears move down his cold face and his hands slide up her warm, beautifully curved body. For these few moments there is no armour, no accident, no chilled warehouse, no Batman and no other woman in a frozen tank. Only a man and his wife, still very much in love.]

Oh... Nora. I have missed you.

[If Victor's hands are cold, he knows that Nora doesn't mind. He's been waiting for this day for many years and whilst his analytical side is telling him that this isn't technically his Nora and he still has much to do, his emotional side really doesn't care, at least not now. Her contented sighs and body close against his is stirring back feelings long guarded and personal. He breaths after a moment too, still holding her carefully.]

Good. I have been waiting for this day a long time. Will you stay with me this evening, Nora?

[Of all of Victor it is the eyes which burn brightest, and he relishes the closeness of his wife up against him, here in his private sactionary. Any discomfort of being outside of his armour is presently easily ignored. At her words there is the slightest of blushes on his white cheek, and he finds words for the first time in years hard to come by.]

I... I love you too. And I... I enjoy making you happy, Nora. I have... have to admit that I shall be a little inexperienced in such things. Since the accident I... have had no one else to... to love, save you.

I realise that I cannot forget about the other Nora but... for now and forever, I wish to be with you. So long as your own Victor's fate is uncertain. [He wonders whether the wishing that he does not resurface is one of several emotive states.]

[This is all so much like a dream to Victor, after so long it seems so very unreal but certainly not unwanted as she holds him closer.]

[Victor hopes that Nora is comfortable - with his condition, the cool skin, everything. Of course she was always so very fond of winter before the accident, he assumes that to her the feelings might be rather pleasant. Once she stares back at him he does the same, aware of her beautiful eyes on his own.]

Well I... I am... uncertain. For waiting so long for this moment I realise I have never truly considered what I might do when it transpired. What... would you wish to do, Nora?

[Despite his lack of emotion Victor was able to show it best with Nora. She is smart and beautiful and interesting and his desire to see her restored has fuelled him. Whilst this not being his Nora is unusual, the lack of her own does at least gives him a reason to want to make her be as content as he.]

...it has been a long time since I have done so, but... yes, I would like that. Though I do not have any music of my own... unless... [He glances at the work bench, bending down amid the ordered notes and papers to a small box which when opened reveals a dancer with a jingle of notes. Nora gave Victor this figure to remind him of her years ago, and he has treasured it for years.]
