The part where you're happy to stay out here. It seems a little too far removed from the fella who wanted to take over any world he could get his hands on for me to accept either as what you really want.

That's definitely part of the problem. How can you be really happy if you don't know what you want?

Because you overcomplicate things and get distracted is my guess.

Overcomplicating, perhaps, but I am hardly to blame for these distractions.

I suppose there is easier joy found in simplicity.

It can be a nice break after a long day of complicated, even when the complicated's good too.

And what is your definition of a good complication, Captain?

The kind that accomplishes something worthwhile where simplicity fails. Art, for example; teamwork, friendship, love. Science is definitely complicated.

You find them all to be worth the effort?

[exloserspromise]

Sure I do. Art makes the world more beautiful and helps you communicate ideas to others across otherwise insurmountable boundaries. Science makes our lives easier and longer, so we can do and see more. Teamwork achieves feats a single person could never pull off, and friendship and love give us people to share it all with.

I'm afraid I wouldn't truly know. I chose magic over science, I've only ever lived in solitude, you are the artist between us.
