It takes more to stop it in my experience.

[ Politeness does win points with this particular mortal lady, but only so many. She isn't entirely sure how much she wants to do with him just yet, but she can confidently say -- ]

My writer has a tendency to descend rapidly into hysterics and tune everything but the subject of her adoration out. By the time I commanded her attention again, she was beyond coherence. You made quite the impression, Mr. Loki.

[ Really, he did. Enough to test this Turk's metal certainly, but she doesn't grudge him that. There's usually a reason for the aforementioned hysterics; she's wary curious and he seems nice enough besides. ]

[ Ah, the giggling hysterics. Loki's grown quite fond of those. He smiles, laughs, nods appreciatively in a writer-ly direction. ]

[ And then back to the nice, unassuming mortal lady. ] I can only assume so.
