So you're turning me into a powerful goddess of fear and darkness for this event! Ok. I'm not going to o8ject on principle, 8ut man, is this going to 8e my life now? You throwing me curve8all after curve8all, all designed to make me question myself and wonder if I could really 8e happy long-term on a 8oring, quiet human world? Like, ok, I get it! I'm awful and 8ad and could never live somewhere where I couldn't 8e awful and 8ad. Is that what you're trying to get me to say????????

I thought you might at least be concerned about the state of your friends who don't have the luxury of avoiding their world's events either by not being picked up yet or by having mundanes that don't have a static stopping point.

Yeah, but I don't think that's why. We just have a lot of people who... well! I guess if you like them you'd call them brave and honorable, but if you don't like them you'd call them stupid and self-righteous.

Well it's part of it let me tell you. When death is permanent people put their opinions aside pretty quickly when you're more powerful than them. Oh sure they still think it, but unless they think they can take you it's rare they'll say it.

As for the stupid and self-righteous. I'm used to that. My followers are killed regularly by people who consider them evil for worshiping me. Another one of the gods I'm among is even more harmless than me as far as his impact on the world. He's the god of parties essentially. Who doesn't love a good prank and a party?

We have death prices, though. And sometimes they're huge. Barely anybody thinks death is no big deal.

Hm. Then again these games have a different sort together. Maybe it's just the right atmosphere where people won't take things like that from anyone.

I'm kind of in the middle. Most people don't hate me no matter how many bad things I've done, haha! But I like people on both sides. The two people who are most important to me hate each others fucking guts, because one of them's all about hope and happiness and the other's about fear and power.

Sounds like it keeps you busy at least.

It's usually not that big a deal. Some people act like it's more of one than it really is.

Some people don't get how you could manage between two really different personalities. I don't have that problem. I know how it works.

I don't think it's the personality thing that people freak out about. It's more about ideologies.

Well they think the two can't coexist which might be true. After all wouldn't your friend of hope and happiness really like to see your power-hungry friend or at least people like them out of the picture or changed?

Ah then I see where people get you wrong. Some of them probably think it's a betrayal to one of the friends if you stay close with both.

Though while death is still a "big deal" in this game it's not permanent. So I do believe people on both sides should suck it up and let the hopeful one figure out he's being a hypocrite.

Yeah, that's what people think. And one of them's way more than just a friend, so that compounds it!
